Despite having only a few episodes of screentime, Kid Buu remains one of Dragon Ball's most terrifying villains. He had a lot of bright pink attacks, but don't let the color fool you. His Planet Burst possesses enough energy to destroy the Earth ten times over, and he can stretch his body beyond realistic proportions to torment his opponents until every ounce of life seeps from their bodies.

Here, we'll be focusing on one of his attacks that doesn't get as much shine as many of his others: his Shocking Ball. It's a smaller, less powerful version of his Planet Burst attack, but that doesn't mean it's any less intimidating. Here are a few moves that are stronger than this attack, along with a few that just shouldn't be used in its presence.

10 Stronger: Super Spirit Bomb

Goku collects energy for a Super Spirit Bomb in Dragon Ball Z

Being that Kid Buu couldn't even hold back a Super Spirit Bomb on his own, we know for a fact that the Shocking Ball wouldn't stand a chance against it as well, and would most likely be absorbed into the Super Spirit Bomb like Frieza's Death Ball was.

Sure, Kid Buu's Planet Burst would be a different story, but the Shocking Ball just isn't big or powerful enough to repel a Super Spirit Bomb.

9 Weaker: Spirit Ball

Perhaps one of the most famous uses of Kid Buu's Shocking Ball is when he arrived at Other World to kill fighters who were already dead. Although the others didn't recognize him, Yamcha and Krillin did and tried their best to take him down.

As Kid Buu charged his Shocking Ball, both Yamcha and Krillin fired Spirit Balls at him, but the projectiles only added to the mass of Kid Buu's attack, aiding him in eventually accumulating enough energy for a Planet Burst. Needless to say, an attack that manages to actually do negative damage could only be straight out of Yamcha's playbook.

8 Stronger: Gigantic Burst

Kefla, the fusion of Caulifa and Kale, firing a blast in Dragon Ball Super

After Caulifla and Kale fused into Kefla, the new female Saiyan warrior possessed enough strength to overwhelm Goku as a Super Saiyan Blue (although we have to note that he hadn't completely recovered all of his stamina yet).

Though we never saw what would happen if this attack actually hit Goku, it's clear that it would've killed him if it did, considering the fact that the hostile red rays of light shooting from Kefla's body posed a threat to Goku's well-being, and they weren't even intentional! The fact that Kefla could even challenge a Super Saiyan Blue in the first place shows that she's leagues above Kid Buu in terms of power, so of course, any of her attacks would overwhelm his Shocking Ball.

7 Weaker: Big Bang Attack

Although his Final Flash is his most notable finishing move, Vegeta debuted his Big Bang attack when he destroyed Android 19 after displaying his newly-acquired Super Saiyan powers. Most notably, he used this technique to murder a large number of World Tournament spectators to coerce Goku to fight him.

It may not be one of the strongest attacks in the series, but it can be fired quickly, which, in a fight, is sometimes the most important thing. Unfortunately, we've had no reason to believe it can overpower a Shocking Ball, considering the fact that it's never caused as much destruction on impact as Kid Buu's move. Even Auta Magetta had no trouble blocking it, and despite his metal body, he isn't particularly powerful on his own.

6 Stronger: Sphere of Destruction

Goku could still redirect a Shocking Ball with his bare hands as a Super Saiyan 2 during his fight with Kid Buu. However, he could just barely stop Beerus's Sphere of Destruction from destroying the Earth without tapping into his hidden Super Saiyan God powers.

It's a safe bet to say that Beerus's Sphere of Destruction would overwhelm Buu along with whatever attack he threw at it.

5 Weaker: Destroy The Planet!

During his fight with Goku, Frieza launched his attack known as Destroy The Planet! directly into Namek's core, triggering the planet's destruction. After Kid Buu fired off a Shocking Ball during his battle with Goku on the Sacred World of the Kais, Goku avoided it, but the attack returned, striking the surface of the planet. The ensuing explosion blackened the sky, but unlike Namek, the planet itself didn't turn into a time bomb.

This may have something to do with the fact that Kid Buu's Shocking Ball didn't reach the planet's core, but if it still managed to briefly change the atmosphere, we'd hate to see what would happen if it managed to meet the planet's center. Due to the vast gap in Frieza's and Kid Buu's powers at the time, we know for a fact that even a small Shocking Ball would overpower Frieza's Destroy The Planet! Due to the fact that Frieza withheld some of his energy, Kid Buu clearly doesn't know the meaning of restraint.

4 Stronger: Power Impact

As the strongest mortal we've seen to date, Jiren possesses the strength to crush any enemy Goku and his friends have defeated over the years. His Power Impact happens to be his signature technique, despite its simplicity. Just like Kid Buu's Shocking Ball, it can be charged and fired from only one hand.

Upon impact, it doesn't always immediately detonate and can force an opponent back before an explosion, strong enough to defeat Kale and revert her back into her base form (which not even a Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha could accomplish). We know Jiren would never use this move to destroy the planet, but because it's one of his Jiren's techniques, we can't think of many other planet-destroying projectiles that could overpower a Power Impact with just a small fraction of his energy behind it.

3 Weaker: Vaporize!

Innocent Buu, also known as "Mr. Buu", is the weakest form of Majin Buu, mostly due to the childlike influence of the Grand Supreme Kai tempering his formerly wild behavior. The clear difference in power between Mr. Buu and Kid Buu were made painfully evident during their brief scuffle on the Sacred World of the Kais, and we have no reason to believe that any of Majin Buu's techniques could hold a candle to Kid Buu's.

He used his Vaporize! technique to repel a Super Saiyan 2 Gohan away before the Saiyan warrior could attack him. Despite the colossal difference in power between Shin and Mr. Buu, the former was able to cancel out this attack with a magical glare, but even then, Gohan was able to endure the attack without being vaporized, as the move suggests. Kid Buu's Shocking Ball, however, can't even be guarded against without causing an opponent a large amount of damage.

2 Stronger: Gamma Burst Flash

Manga Vegeta's Gamma Burst Flash

Vegeta's Gamma Burst Flash, a technique exclusive to the Dragon Ball Super manga, was a technique that Vegeta debuted in his stand against two Fused Zamasus. The attack was so powerful that it blew them to pieces even when Vegeta was on the verge of exhaustion.

The strength behind this attack allows Vegeta to overpower foes that he couldn't otherwise, making it one of the best attacks to bring out when faced against a supercharged Shocking Ball.

1 Weaker: Burning Attack

With Future Trunks' return to Dragon Ball Super, we haven't seen him really use his Burning Attack, most likely due to the fact that it takes too long to activate with all those flashy hand gestures. It doesn't look to be particularly strong either, with Trunks merely using it as a warning shot that Frieza and King Cold were easily able to avoid when he debuted it during his fight against them.

Unfortunately, Trunks's current power in Super barely places him above a Super Saiyan 3 even with his Super Saiyan Rage form, so a Burning Attack would most likely be absorbed as Kid Buu charged up a Shocking Ball. And even if that didn't work, Trunks' sword wouldn't do him any good. At least he'd be able to join the Future Z-Fighters in the Other World much sooner.
