The popular mobile game Dragon Ball Legends is about to celebrate its second anniversary this month and its original protagonist, Shallot, may be reaching a personal milestone to commemorate the occasion: a transformation into Super Saiyan God.

The latest story content for the game has the angelic attendant Whis assemble five Saiyans, including Universe 6's Caulifa and Kale, to perform the ancient ritual to awaken a Super Saiyan God, with Shallot heavily implied to be the subject of the divine combat transformation.

Super Saiyan God was first introduced in the anime film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, with the ritual used to have Goku undergo the transformation to battle Beerus. The transformation would appear throughout Dragon Ball Super, with Vegeta similarly achieving the transformation for himself.

Launching in 2018, Dragon Ball Legends features Shallot, a Saiyan warrior designed specifically for the game by franchise creator Akira Toriyama. The game has fighters from multiple timelines and alternate universes converge for martial arts tournaments as Shallot slowly begins to regain his lost memories.

Developed by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Legends is available for iOS and Android devices.
