The hero of the Dragon Ball series, Goku, has one of the most unique and diverse sets of attacks in all of anime and manga history. It definitely comes with the territory of being the main characters of one of the longest running battle shonen out there and shows off just how long Goku has been at it.

This long history contains many moves that constantly show up during Goku's fights and many that have shown up once and never again. This list will be looking at both of those types of moves and will probably remind many of some moves they forgot even were done by this "low-class" Saiyan.

10 MOST USED: KAMEHAMEHA

Goku performing kamehameha

This move may as well get out the way. The Kamehameha wave is the most iconic and well-known attacks in not just the Dragon Ball series, but in all of anime and manga as well.

This move has always been Goku's go-to since childhood and is one seen more than any other in the series for that reason. Dragon Ball honestly wouldn't be Dragon Ball without the Kamehameha wave. This move perfectly encapsulates everything that the series is.

9 NEVER SEE: BOJUTSU

For those that don't recognize this attack, it is the art of wielding a staff. This is something that Goku has utilized a lot in the past of the Dragon Ball series with his once signature weapon, the Power Pole. He learned to use this weapon from its original owner, Grandpa Gohan.

Sadly, although this move introduced a new piece to Goku's fighting style it has faded into obscurity, as it probably has no place in the series's fights now due to ki blasts, flying, and teleporting.

8 MOST USED: KAIO-KEN

Kaio-ken is the power boost transformation technique that Goku learned from King Kai himself after his first death by the hands of Piccolo in order to defeat Raditz. This move was heavily used from the Saiyan Saga to the Frieza Saga and ended up fading away quite a bit.

However, this attack has made a great resurgence with the new Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Super, with Goku using it in combination with his new Super Saiyan God transformations.

7 NEVER SEE: GINYU FIGHTING POSE: TECHNIQUE (2)

One move that no one even remembers Goku learning is the Ginyu Special Fighting Pose Technique. This was seen when Goku was fighting Captain Ginyu during their first round. He copied Ginyu's signature support technique when face to face with him and due to Goku being nothing like the Ginyu Force it had no effect.

This move was never used again by Goku for obvious reasons but it somewhat was used later on in the series by his son, Gohan, once he became the Great Saiyaman.

6 MOST USED: KIAI TECHNIQUES

The kiai techniques are moves where Goku affects the air currents around him with his ki. This creates shockwaves in the air that allow him to attack him from mid-ranges. This is one of those attacks that Goku uses a ton but no one really seems to take note due to its generic nature.

This move is used in many ways throughout the entirety of Dragon Ball by Goku whether it be a generic air push version or the Ranbu Gekimetsu, a more powerful variation of Soaring Fist that was used by Goku in his Ultra Instinct form.

5 NEVER SEE: DRAGON THROW

The Dragon Throw technique is one that was named in the Dragon Ball videogame, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. It has been used multiple times throughout the series against Frieza and Majin Buu and has been immortalized in many Dragon Ball videogames.

However, this move only shows up being used by Goku a few times in the series despite its status as Goku's signature throw.

4 MOST USED: CONTINUOUS KAMEHAMEHA

The continuous Kamehameha is a technique that is exclusive to Goku much like various other Kamehameha variations. This version is a rapid-fire version of the energy wave technique that was used during Goku's training on the way to Namek, against Frieza, during the battle against Super Buu, and Cell.

While it is used multiple times, it is a move never seen because no one ever really recognizes it. For the most part, this move looks and operates exactly like any other generic ki blast barrage.

3 NEVER SEE: ANRGY KAMEHAMEHA

The Angry Kamehameha is a move that was used once by Goku and never again. This move was used to "defeat" Frieza at the end of their battle on an exploding Planet Namek.

This move was named in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi videogame series and is basically a yellow-colored Kamehameha fired with one hand.

2 MOST USED: SPIRIT BOMB

Anime spirit bomb

The Spirit Bomb is one of the most iconic moves in the Dragon Ball series. It is many times used as the move to finish off the big boss of different arcs in the series. It made its first appearance in the Saiyan Saga and has shown up in every saga since until the Super series.

It is one of the most notable moves in the series and was a big deal in the series ever since it was taught to Goku by King Kai.

1 NEVER SEE: ROCK, SCISSORS, PAPER

Rock, Scissors, Paper is a rush attack that was utilized by Goku as a child. He used this move multiple times in the original series against quite a few foes but has since then outgrown it.

While this may be a move some people miss it would look pretty odd to see Goku doing something like this as an adult.
