Dragon Ball's Goku and Chi-Chi are one of the longest-running couples in anime history. However, long-lasting doesn't necessarily mean good. The two are often seen arguing or fighting, with the source of conflict usually revolving around Goku's love for martial arts and training. Considering their relationship formed off of a promise made as children, it's no surprise that their chemistry isn't very strong.
That's what happens when two people get engaged before really getting to know each other. Everyone deserves to be supported and pursue what makes them happy, including Goku and Chi-Chi. So keeping that in mind, what other anime characters would be a better fit for Goku than Chi-Chi?
10 Biscuit Krueger (Hunter X Hunter)
Biscuit Krueger, or Bisky, is a character from the anime Hunter x Hunter. Much like Goku, she is an incredibly skilled fighter and martial artist. In the anime, she shows a knack and passion for being a trainer of combat and Nen.
This means Biscuit would not only support Goku's habits, but she could probably show him a few new moves as well. Not to mention with her love for gleaming gems, she would be more than happy to go hunting for the Dragon Balls whenever she needed to once again resurrect her dead partner.
9 Nico Robin (One Piece)
Nico Robin is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece. She is calm and level-headed, which makes her the perfect foil for Goku's spontaneous personality. Goku and Luffy are very similar characters, and the chemistry between Robin and Luffy is fantastic.
Robin and Goku would be truly happy to be together. Being a top-notch archaeologist, she would love nothing more than to travel to different planets with Goku and study them while he fights some new threat to the universe.
8 Leone (Akame Ga Kill!)
Leone is a member of Night Raid from the anime Akame Ga Kill! She's cheerful, upbeat, and doesn't let little things like manners stop her from enjoying herself. Goku would have a blast trying to beat Leone in a food eating contest, as she is known to put away quite a bit.
Leone is also an incredibly strong fighter and would love sparring against Goku. Her beast-like fighting style would be a great new challenge for the Saiyan to try to overcome. They are both so similar that it would be a perfect match.
7 Mereoleona Vermillion (Black Clover)
Mereoleona Vermillion is a character from Black Clover. While she has a similar combative and aggressive personality as Chi-Chi, her opinion on Goku's love for fighting would be the complete opposite. She loves hand-to-hand combat and greatly respects the desire to become stronger.
Mereoleona and Goku would push each other to new heights, which makes them perfect partners for each other. Her raw strength and power would excite Goku, and training against each other would be their common ground. If anyone could give Mereoleona a challenge worth her time, it's Goku.
6 Bishamonten (Noragami)
Bishamonten is the goddess of war in Noragami. Much like Goku, she pushes herself well beyond her limits if it means she can protect those she loves. The two would make a great team that protects Earth. Being a goddess of war, Bishamonten's fighting ability is top-notch.
Goku would love to test himself against Bishamonten as a god that isn't Beerus. While Goku is more goofy and casual than Bishamonten, the two would balance each other out and make for a solid power couple.
5 Sakura Haruno (Naruto/Boruto)
Sakura Haruno is a member of team 7 in Naruto. She has a very similar personality to Chi-Chi, but Sakura would complement Goku better. Essentially, she is a walking talking Senzu Bean. With her medical ninjutsu, Goku would never have to hope that there is a Senzu Bean on hand to heal him from his injuries.

Sakura has immense healing prowess, but she is also a proficient fighter. These two features alone would be enough to get Goku to like her. Goku is also very similar to Naruto, so Sakura wouldn't have to make much of a stretch to get used to him.
4 Nana Shimura (My Hero Academia)
Nana Shimura is the 7th One for All user in My Hero Academia. Nana has a similar personality to Goku, smiling in the face of tough opponents and always looking for the potential in others. Also having the quirk One for All, she has immense physical abilities and plenty of combat experience.
Goku loves a challenging fight, and one coming from his partner would be ideal. They are two peas in a pod, and with such similar mentalities and skills, they should make a fantastic pair.
3 Caulifla (Dragon Ball Super)
Caulifla is a Saiyan from Universe 6 in Dragon Ball Super. Being a Saiyan, she and Goku share an alarming amount of traits. These include the desire to grow stronger, protect the weak, and their shared love for combat.
On top of these similarities, being of the same race would be appealing to both of them. There are no female Saiyans in Universe 7, so Goku would finally have a chance to be with someone who is truly like him. During their battle in the tournament of power, they clearly show some chemistry. While a few years would need to pass so Caulifa can mature a bit more, they could eventually make a good couple.
2 Maki Oze (Fire Force)
Maki Oze is a member of Department 8 in Fire Force. She is an exceptional fighter, and while her abilities aren't on par with others that Goku faces, he would still respect her. She is incredibly kind, and much like Goku would go to great lengths to protect those closest to her.
Maki is somewhat sensitive of her own strength, but Goku sees the best in others. He would help her overcome her sensitivity, and she'd be a kind and supportive partner for Goku. It's a win-win.
1 Vegeta (Dragon Ball)
Vegeta is Goku's rival in the Dragon Ball series. They tend to disagree and their ideas often clash, but they also have incredible chemistry. Vegeta and Goku have driven each other to push past their limits time and time again. Each would have a fraction of their current power without the other.
Vegeta seems the exact opposite of Goku in many ways, but they balance each other out. After all, their fusion led to one of the most powerful characters in Dragon Ball. If anyone is perfect to replace Chi-Chi, it's Vegeta.
