Android 21 is one of the best Dragon Ball creations from a game, topping both Towa and Mira from Xenoverse fame. She first showed up in Dragon Ball Fighterz, a more Marvel Vs Capcom style fighter rather than one that was free-roaming, as the Xenoverses are. It helped add a new dynamic for a franchise that feels like it releases the same type of game every other year.
What makes her such a fan favorite is the split personalities the character has, how she fights in the game, and her looks play a role as well (both forms looking cool). We are going to take a look at some fan art that Android 21 would even love.
9 You Look Tasty
This is one of the least malevolent looking Android 21 pictures, especially of her in her Majin form. She doesn't look threatening at all, looking like someone who's going to flirt with you at a bar. That look on her face is both alluring and deeply introspective. On the outside, she looks playful, but you know the thoughts going through her head are the opposite. Given what we know about the character, those thoughts center around what you taste like. Some guy will go in thinking he's getting lucky, only to get turned into a cupcake. CooliSushi does a really good job of capturing her playful and seductive side in that way.
8 Majin Pin-Up
Android 21 looks like she's a pin-up on a poster or in a calendar here, Esther-Shen focusing on the character's sexuality over everything else. This isn't a bad call considering who we are talking about. She looks like someone who could lure any guy or girl into her vicinity, turning them into a delicious treat with ease. Just look at that smirk she has, look of someone who knows what they are doing. It's the little things about the piece that we love though. The way the light reflects off her bracelets and earrings is incredible. The added pink coloring to her hair is a really nice touch too, making it look like it's layered. The extended nails are yet another nice addition, making her look like she could rip you apart if she wanted to.
7 Scientist
Here's Android 21 in her good state, or human form, looking like the scientist she is. She looks like she's patiently listening to someone here, possibly one of the Z fighters. From the look on her face, it doesn't look like she necessarily agrees with what they are talking about, feeling like she knows best.
What's really neat here is how FlamexSilver includes a shadow in his work. It's something few artists add, instead of drawing as if their body parts don't cast a shadow. You have to respect them not drawing this side of her as some model, as that doesn't fit her character at all. She's more of a mother who never got to experience adulthood.
6 Delicious
This is the first piece that has Android 21 holding one of her beloved sweets, this time being a cupcake with a whole strawberry on top. She's looking at it like she could eat the whole thing up, wrapper and all. Papermoon92 is also the first person to include her tail, something that's pretty intricate to her character, making her more than just a Buu with boobs. The coolest part of the art is that it's drawn in a way that makes it seem like a Valentine's Day card. From how the background is a square, to the grin on her face, and how the words are phrased, making it seem like she's talking about the person holding the card.
5 Come Into My Parlor
Full body pictures of Majin Android 21 where she isn't nearly naked are rare, that's why we have to give special credit to JuneReito. While having the watermark to his deviant art page being plastered everywhere is a little extreme, distracting from the image itself, it doesn't take away from the quality. This image looks like something that would be used for promotional art, exuding the exact personality of the character. The way she's pointing towards the person looking at the art is perfect, making it seem like she's challenging them to a fight. Wanting to make sure they are worthy of being eaten by her.
4 Angered
That look in her eyes is something anyone who's been in a relationship with a woman has seen. It's the glare telling you that you screwed up now, only resort being to apologize or get out of dodge as fast as possible. It's the perfect glance for a character that can get overtaken by her evil side the longer she goes without feeding, especially with the all-red background.
While not overly sexual, the only downside to this art is that Sanefox felt the need to enlargen her breasts just a bit too much. It isn't awful, just a bit distracting from the rest of the piece.
3 Weakling
While she's a character that doesn't hide her sexuality, it isn't the only trait that she has. So few fan arts seem to go beyond that, an unfortunate by-product of most female characters. Alas, Kasai helps capture more of the arrogant and dismissive side of the character. There are a great many times during the game that she makes Cell look humble by comparison. That look on her face says all you need to know, whoever is challenging her isn't worth her time, not even worth being a snack, let alone a full-blown meal. You can just picture that person being someone like Krillin, Dragon Balls resident punching bag.
2 Pure Power
Speaking of rare things, action shots of Android 21 are in short supply. There's such a scant few considering how powerful she is in the games universe and how aggressive she can be in her Majin form. Nyusho tries to fill some of that void, providing this excellent piece of her ready to hurl a growing ball of energy at her foes. That energy is the true star of the piece, overshadowing even Android 21. The way the energy is crackling around her is so like the show, giving it such an authentic look. The energy ball looks like it's glowing, slowly expanding the longer you stare at it. The layers used within it are truly incredible.
1 Good And Bad
The contrast between both sides of Android 21 is on full display here. You have the more motherly and sweet human side, sitting cross-legged, casually eating her favorite treat, a macaroon. Way it's glowing let's you know that likely isn't a treat you'd get down at your local bakery. On the other side, you have the destructive Majin, energy balls in both of her hands, ready to destroy whoever dares get in her path. That look of psychotic glee on her face is incredible too. The way the energy is sparking off from her hands is awe-inspiring, blending so seamlessly into the background. Aldgerrelpa does a fantastic job with the art.
This piece encapsulates the hunger of Android 21 in the most humorous way possible. Could you imagine her having just finished a fight with a fully powered Goku, defeating him by the narrowest of margins, but rather than finishing him off, she takes the time to consider what treat he'd taste best as? It makes the process seem almost cute, especially with the small crumb on her breast and the frosting on her cheek. Beyond just the humor of it, the way iVorare designed her hair is out of this world. It's so flowing and detailed, said to have taken them 3 hours to do. Those hours paid off in spades, creating one of the best fan art pictures of the characters you'll find.
