The Dragon Ball series is one that is named for the sake of seven mystical balls with stars engrained into them. Once gathered together these sacred items can be used to summon a giant dragon named Shenron who will grant the summoner one wish as long as that wish doesn't break his rules.
However, what happens when these Dragon Balls are overused and get a build-up of negative energy? That's what Dragon Ball GT revealed to fans when seven evil Shadow Dragons emerged from them and threatened the planet. This list is a look at these seven dragons and their power levels ranked.
7 NATURON SHENRON
Naturon Shenron is the Seven-Star Dragon and the first Shadow Dragon that Goku faces in Dragon Ball GT. He also is known as Qi Xing Long and represents the earth element. He resembles a small mole and his cowardly attitude mirrors that appearance as well as if he's constantly running away into tunnels.
His signature ability is that of absorption much like plenty Dragon Ball villains before him. This is seen both when he absorbs a mole and becomes more beast-like and when he absorbs Pan which transforms into a more powerful dragon-like form. This ability also allows him to use moves stolen from the absorbed being as seen when he absorbs Pan and uses a technique he dubbed the Dragon Kamehameha. Even with this power however, Naturon Shenron is the weakest of all the Shadow Dragons which is why he falls back to constantly. using dirty tricks.
6 HAZE SHENRON
It's very ironic that the Two-Star Dragon is this low on the list, especially with the size and overall appearance that the Shadow Dragon Haze Shenron is rocking. This large green dragon also goes by the name of Liang Xing Long and he possesses the element of pollution. This dragon is among the most arrogant which is even worse because of his lazy nature.
Haze Shenron would rather not get up from relaxing to fight, instead preferring to let his opponent die via his poison power. This is the biggest reason that a Shadow Dragon of his stature lacks the power you'd expect. Haze Shenron refuses to train and would rather sit around all day. He's a coward that bullies the weak and runs first site of anyone stronger than him. He also thinks transformations are cheap tricks.
5 RAGE SHENRON
Wu Xing Long is the Five-Star Dragon also called Rage Shenron. He has the element of electricity and is one of the smallest Shadow Dragons of the bunch. In fact, he's so small that he barely reaches kid Goku's torso. He's an ultra power-hungry Shadow Dragon and thinks that he's invincible despite his incredibly tiny size. Much like his two brothers before him on this list he uses dirty tricks in combat.
He and Goku are kind of like brothers due to Rage being born from the wish to bring Goku back to life during the Saiyan Saga. He can absorb energy and use electricity of course. He can also encase himself in a protective electric slime that can withstand and reflect even the 10x Kamehameha. However, not even an ability like this makes him strong enough to be higher up on the list.
4 OCEANUS SHENRON
Oceanus Shenron also goes by the title of Liu Xing Long and unlike the rest of her brethren, she possesses two elemental abilities, water, and wind. She is the Six-Star Dragon as well as the only female member of the Shadow Dragons. This dragon was born from the wish for a pair of panties from Oolong that interrupted Emperor Pilaf's wish for world domination.
In her beautiful Princess Oro form, she has tons of abilities allowing her to battle without using hand to hand combat. However, she possesses an even stronger form that is classified as her true form. The drawback to this form is the hideous appearance that causes her to stray away from it despite it being more powerful than her Princess form.
3 EIS SHENRON
Eis Shenron or San Xing Long is the Three-Star Dragon and easily one of the most formidable opponents Goku faces in Dragon Ball GT. He's one of the Shadow Dragons that will fight in a traditional style but when he feels his opponent is stronger than him he will quickly switch up to use dirty tricks as seen when he blinds Goku during their battle.
He's a very strong fighter that controls the ice element and has enough power to actually do damage to Goku even in his Super Saiyan 4 form, a feat that the dragons before him can't boast. However, his dirty nature holds him back from being even stronger.
2 NUOVA SHENRON
Si Xing Long, more well-known as Nuova Shenron, is the twin brother of Eis Shenron. He's the Four-Star Shadow Dragon and mirrors his twin's ice element by being the Shadow Dragon of the fire element. Much like his brother, he has a more humanoid appearance but unlike him, he has a gold plating. Also unlike him, he's actually a fighter with morals, a kind-heart, and more serious.
This pulls him away from the rest of the Shadow Dragons and makes him and Goku into friends of sorts. It also reflects the fact that he was born of the Four-Star ball that is closely associated with Goku's family starting with Grandpa Gohan. However, this dragon was born from King Piccolo's evil wish which produced an opposite Shadow Dragon. He has some of the most powerful abilities of all the Shadow Dragons and also becomes an ally to Goku.
1 SYN SHENRON
Fittingly enough the most powerful of all the Shadow Dragons is the One-Stared Yi Xing Long, Syn Shenron. His sheer powerful and evil nature comes from the fact that he was born of the wish to bring everyone on Planet Namek back after Frieza destroyed it. Not only is he already a lot of trouble for even Super Saiyan 4 Goku but he can transform even further by absorbing the rest of the Dragon Balls and transform into Omega Shenron.
In his base form, he has no special elemental abilities like his siblings but makes up for it by being the most powerful without them. However, once he absorbs his siblings Dragon Balls and becomes Omega Shenron he has access to all of their power. He is so powerful that he could only be defeated by a universal Spirit Bomb and possibly a Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta Big Bang Kamehameha.
