The Dragon Ball series has some of the most extensive lore in any shonen anime/manga to date. The world of this series is full of different planets, universes, and races that come together to create some of the most fun discoveries in the genre.
However, one question trumps the rest when it comes to the different races scattered throughout this series. "Who is the strongest member of each race?" Well, this list will go down the line and teach just that, and in order of whos the strongest out of all the races.
10 EARTHLING: KRILLIN
While Tien and Krillin are two characters that are always in the discussion, Krillin edges him out just a bit and takes the title. This was confirmed during an interview with Akira Toriyama himself.
"You’re right, he is the strongest among the Earthlings. But in spite of that, he tends to end up in a bad way, so I thought, “once in a while, I have to let him be happy,” and had him get married. (laughs)"
9 NAMEKIAN: PICCOLO JR.
Yes, Piccolo Jr. is the Piccolo that Dragon Ball fans all know and love. However, originally Piccolo Jr. wouldn't be able to be a part of the discussion of being the most powerful Namekian as he was a member and being of the Demon Clan at first.
After his fusion with Nail though, Piccolo became a true Namekian, making him the strongest Namekian in history.
8 ANDROID: SUPER 17
The Android race is one that is very special in the world of Dragon Ball as it is one of the only artificial races in the series. Most of this race was created by Dr.Gero and the strongest of the race is no exception.
While he isn't the most popular (in fact he's quite infamous) Super Android 17 is easily the most powerful Android in the Dragon Ball multiverse. This is due to the fact that he is a mixture of two types of powerful Android types. The infinite energy model (Like 17 and 18) and the energy absorption model. He's also even more power than Super Saiyan 4 which has been shown to be on par with Super Saiyan God Blue in Dragon Ball Heroes.
7 FRIEZA RACE: FRIEZA
Funny enough, with how important they are to the current world of Dragon Ball Frieza's race has never been named. But the strongest character of this race has been named, and his name is of course Frieza.
This was cemented in Dragon Ball Super during his return when he actually decided to train which lead him to unlock the next transformation of his race, Golden Frieza.
6 CORE PEOPLE: GRAND SUPREME KAI
While many would expect Zamasu or Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time to be the strongest of the Kai it's actually the Grand Supreme Kai that sits atop the pecking order. This is due to Zamasu simply being a directional Kai (one of the lowest of Kais) and Chronoa simply being a Supreme Kai.
As shown in his name, the Grand Supreme Kai is the best of all the Kai and his power shows from him being able to take on Kid Buu as well as his power still showing through Majin Buu who he still lives through.
5 SAIYAN: GOKU OR VEGETA
The Saiyan race is the poster boy race of the Dragon Ball series and one everyone knows and loves. This might make it a bit surprising that Goku and Vegeta aren't the top dogs of this list. Given a bit more time, however, these two will probably top everything else in the series.
The reason they're listed together is due to the fact that these two are constantly neck-and-neck when it comes to power level. Once one surpasses the other, the other catches right back up.
4 MAJIN: MR. BUU
The Majin race is an odd race with a very odd history. This race was once under the magic of Bibidi and his son Babidi as tools to take over the universe. The most powerful of all the Majin race is actually the fat Mr.Buu that everyone knows and loves, despite the threat that Kid Buu's evil nature and insanity brought upon the universe.
Looking at Dragon Ball Z we find that Super Buu became the strongest Majin once he absorbed Gohan. Mr.Buu has since reached and surpassed that level in Super after training. Though he is too lazy to show it he, much like the rest of his race, has unlimited potential which was shown during Super Buu's reign of terror.
3 DEMON REALM RACE: MECHIKABURA
Mechikabura is shown in the multiverse material of the Dragon Ball series to be one of the absolute strongest beings in all the Dragon Ball universes. He is a member of the Demon race that lives in the Demon Realm much like Dabura and his sister Towa. This race can be seen as the Core People of the Demon realm.
Their strongest member is Mechikabura who is so powerful it took Dark Shenron an extended period of time to make him young again, and 10 powerful warriors to defeat him in his max power form.
2 ANGEL: GRAND PRIEST
The most powerful of all the Angels and most likely one of the most powerful beings in all of the Dragon Ball series is the Grand Priest. This powerful Angel not only the closest advisor to the all-powerful Zenos but is the father of the 13 Angels who serve the Gods of Destruction.
This single being is said to be one of the top five strongest beings in all the multiverse. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, this is taken further with him being called the strongest warrior in the multiverse.
1 DRAGONS: SUPER SHENRON
Very fitting that the strongest being in the Dragon Ball multiverse is a dragon and a version of Shenron at that. The dragon of the Super Dragon Balls is said to be able to easily defeat any of the Gods of Destruction.
It can be assumed that due to its massive power that it is able to defeat the Angels as well. Yes, that includes the Grand Priest as well.
