Fans constantly refer to the Dragon Ball anime series as one of the most broken when it comes to character power levels. Many of these characters have abilities that can lead to complete planetary destruction with the simple flick of a wrist, as seen when Frieza easily destroys Planet Vegeta.
Further, there are a few characters categorized as "universe busters", entailing the ability to unleash enough power to erase an entire universe. Unlike the planetary buster class, this isn't a simple feat for most Dragon Ball characters, despite how strong they might be. Of course, there are a few characters that are able to push themselves far enough to do so.
10 Zeno Wouldn't Even Need To Lift A Finger
Grand Zeno, also known as the King of All or the Omni-King, is the supreme ruler of all the multiverses in the Dragon Ball series. This position entails near limitless power.
As shown in the "Tournament of Power" saga, Grand Zeno has an easier time destroying universes than anyone else, being able to do so without even lifting a finger. This is the reason that even Beerus and Whis fear him and nearly lost their minds over Goku constantly fooling around with the multiversal overlord.
9 Beerus Could Destroy The Universe If He Went All Out
Beerus is one of the many Gods of Destruction in the Dragon Ball multiverse. The power he possesses is more than enough to be able to wipe out a universe.
In fact, his Angel assistant, Whis, has classified him as a universe buster in the series, a fact confirmed in both the anime and the manga versions of Battle of Gods. The fact that Beerus is among the strongest of the Gods of Destruction makes an even greater case for this.
8 Champa Came Close To Doing So
If Beerus can do it, so can his brother and rival God of Destruction: Champa. He is close to being on the same level as Beerus, meaning that he is most likely a universe buster.
Funnily enough, Beerus and Champa have accidentally almost destroyed universes during a bout in the series, literally wiping out cosmic matter around them during their fight.
7 Goku Would Need A Bit Of Help
Goku has been shown to evolve rapidly in the Dragon Ball Super series, going from God to God Blue to Ultra Instinct, but he's not quite mastered universe busting power yet.
However, Goku's newly mastered powers will soon lead him to these levels — given that his battle with Beerus actively endangers the universe in the Battle of Gods storyline.
6 Omega Shenron Could Use His Negative Ki Chain Reaction
It's obvious that a being like Omega Shenron is one of the most powerful in Dragon Ball lore, having obtained power from all the dragon balls as well as the other Shadow Dragons.
During his introduction in Dragon Ball GT, Elder Kai mentions that Omega could create a negative ki chain reaction that would destroy everything. Meaning yes, he is a universe buster.
5 Super Shenron Can Grant A Universe-Destroying Wish
Another Dragon Ball Super character that could destroy a universe with little to no effort is the "Super Divine Dragon", Super Shenron who was introduced as the goal of each universes' fighters during the Tournament of Power arc.
Everyone remembers Super Shenron bringing back seven universes after Android 17 makes the winning wish. It's clear that he could just as easily wipe them out should one wish for it.
4 Gogeta Could Destroy The Universe With A Full Power Blast
With Goku on the cusp of becoming a universe buster, there is no argument that Gogeta is at least on the level of being one, if not beyond. This was even teased in Dragon Ball GT during his battle with a proven universe buster, Omega Shenron.
Whether that Gogeta is Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan as seen in Dragon Ball Super: Broly or Super Saiyan 4 from GT, a full power blast from him might take the universe with it.
3 If Gogeta Is Powerful Enough, Then So Is Vegito
There are tons of arguments from Dragon Ball fans about Gogeta and Vegito being different characters entirely, but truthfully, the two are one and the same — they're just made through different means.
This means that if Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan has the power to destroy a universe, then Vegito should have absolutely no problem making it happen. One thing is for certain with this conclusion. Should the two fusions of these powerful warriors ever clash in battle as they have in many series "What If" scenarios, the universe is finished.
2 Whis Could Destroy The Universe Easily
There is absolutely no question that Beerus could destroy a universe should he ever want to. This means that his assistant Whis could do it much more easily due to his strength level being much greater than his, as shown and stated multiple times in the series.
Many may remember that in Dragon Ball Super's anime and manga, Beerus states that Whis is much stronger than him. Akira Toriyama has himself stated that when it comes to power, Goku is a 6, Beerus is a 10, and Whis is a 15.
1 Jiren's Power Exceeds That Of The Gods Of Destruction
Jiren is literally the most powerful foe that Goku and the heroes of Earth have ever faced. Should he ever invade and go all out, they'd be in trouble because Jiren is past the power barrier needed to nuke a universe.
In the anime, it is stated that Jiren is beyond Champa's level, meaning his power exceeds even that of the Gods of Destruction, making him another universe buster.
