The world of shonen anime seems to never shy away from teaching lessons to the viewers in the smallest of ways with comparisons of characters. This is seen in just about every series of this anime genre, from lessons taught in Naruto to series like Dragon Ball through its current incarnation, Dragon Ball Super.

One Dragon Ball Super character, in particular, managed to teach multiple lessons to the viewers by making many mistakes throughout her time in the show and manga. Each of these lessons may have come at Caulifla's expense but the viewers and readers can definitely learn something from them.

10 Underestimating Her Opponents

One thing immediately noticeable about Caulifla is the fact that she is constantly underestimating her opponents, no matter their power level. This was shown as early as her first appearance when she is meeting Cabba and he is explaining that she can become even stronger.

This underestimation of those around her not only led to her eventual downfall among other shortcomings, but it also holds her back from becoming the strongest Saiyan she can be. She has since learned from this and finally accepts that there are others stronger than her and now trains to catch up.

9 Overestimating Herself

Another part of Caulifla's bad traits comes from her overestimating herself. No matter who she's facing she always believes that she is on top which causes her to miss out on quite a few chances to get stronger even before she needed.

This is another trait that was hit by the rocks of reality when Caulifla was met with fighters from other universes that completely outclassed her. However, unlike her underestimation, this trait still lingers quite a bit but to a lesser extent, serving more as a push to keep training and get stronger.

8 Not Being A Team Player

Another big error that came from Caulifla was the fact that she was rarely trying to be a team player during the tournament of power when it came to anyone but her best friend Kale.

This was something not exhibited by Goku and his team, as they were constantly seen basically tag-teaming many situations which eventually was the reason they won the entire multiversal tournament. This is hopefully something Caulifla and the other contestants learned from.

7 Being Lazy

Since her first reveal in the series, Caulifla was shown to be very lazy which even led to her not even wanting to join the Tournament of Power at first, even when faced with the fact that her universe and her life were on the line.

Funny enough it seemed that nothing could get her to join this tournament unless there was truly something in it that would profit her in the long run. Of course, this laziness bit her in the butt during the actual tournament as seen with her outclassed strength level.

6 Being Self-Absorbed

As said earlier, it seemed nothing could get Caulifla to compete in the Tournament of Power unless there was something in it for her. When Cabba showed her the potential power she could obtain she was finally all ears.

This self-absorption that Caulifla exhibits is yet another mistake she made during her time in Dragon Ball Super. A trait that also hurt her in the long run.

5 Having A One-Track Mind

Caulifla is a girl that cares for one thing and one thing alone until she finds out there's more to life than that. This was the case with her and her quest for power when entering the Tournament of Power.

It's not until mid-tournament that she discovers there's more to life than one goal, which she finds in her close friend Kale.

4 Not Caring For Others

In the manga of Dragon Ball Super, it's shown that Caulifla is even more selfish than she is in the anime, going as far as not truly caring for anyone but herself at first.

In fact, in the manga version, she doesn't even show any real affection to Kale until later in the series, treating her as just another member of her gang.

3 Showing Arrogance

Caulifla is arrogant at first sight of the Z-Warriors of Universe-7 which eventually led to her loss.

Right after first meeting them she claimed they were nothing to worry about and was immediately caught off guard by Goku and Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue transformations.

2 Being A Sore Loser

Another bad trait Caulifla exhibits is the fact that she's a huge sore loser.

Once she and Kale are eliminated from the tournament by Goku she throws a huge temper tantrum and promised to beat him one day. Thankfully, she soon learned to accept defeat which will lead to her getting stronger.

1 Being Disrespectful

One thing is for sure about Caulifla, she is easily one of the most disrespectful characters in the series.

She constantly shows disrespect to those stronger than her and looking into her betterment. This is another trait that could hurt her in the end.
