Last week, we decided to go on IMDB to take a look at the best episodes of the Frieza Saga of Dragon Ball Z. When we last saw Goku, he had defeated Frieza and bearly survived the explosion on Namek. Now, after a year's worth of training, he came back to learn that Androids were to attack the earth.

However, a more significant threat in Cell arrived, and he wishes to achieve his perfect transformation to destroy the planet. So, we're going into the world of IMDB again to find out what are the best-ranked episodes of the Cell saga.

10 Up to Piccolo (7.1 251 Votes)

Despite Piccolo's best efforts in fighting against Android 17, Cell arrives to absorb 17. The Namekian warrior has no choice but to put his fight with 17 on the side to prevent Cell's transformation. Piccolo tries his best, but not only has Cell gained more strength from the people he's absorbed, but Piccolo has also run out of power. Cell grabs the green fighter and blasts him out of the fight. 17 now has to face the insect android on his own.

9 Silent Warrior (7.1 255 Votes)

While 17 tries to go up against Cell, he doesn't last that long. Luckily for 17 and his sister, Android 16 decides to step into battle. 16 has stayed on the sidelines since his activation, but audiences finally get to see 16 cut loose. 16 has an impressive arsenal of attacks to take on Cell, including improved speed and a rocket punch. It makes for an exciting fight, but fans would have to wait for the next episode to see 16's most potent attacks on display.

8 Saiyans Emerge (7.1 260 Votes)

Despite their best efforts, Piccolo and 16 were unable to save 17 from being absorbed by Cell. The powerful android now sets his sights on 18. 16 and 18 try to avoid Cell, but the monster is still on their tail.

Luckily for them, Vegeta and Trunks have emerged from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The father/son duo have gained an immense amount of power, but will it be enough to defeat Cell? You'll have to find out later as this episode is mostly all talk.

7 Free the Future (7.1 301 Votes)

After Trunks finishes his work in the past, he goes back to his timeline to destroy the Androids. While he was unable to kill them before, he now returns with the strength he's gained after fighting alongside the Z-Fighters and his father. Trunks does short work of both 17 and 18 before going back to the past to give the Z-Fighters the good news. He then realizes he has one more villain to go up against: Cell from his timeline.

Like with the others, Trunks takes out Cell and free's his future of the androids once and for all. It's nice to see even Trunks, in his apocalyptic future, get a happy ending... if only it stayed that way.

6 The Unstoppable Gohan (7.1 308 Votes)

After Gohan does quick work of the Cell Jrs., he set's out on killing their father, Perfect Cell. While it would seem that the two are evenly matched, Gohan is still holding back against Cell and quickly gains the advantage. Cell tries his best but is no match for the dominant child.

After seeing Cell smugly face off against Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks, it was satisfying for fans to see that grin punched off his face by Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. While a lot of the content here was mostly filler, it was the best kind of filler that everyone remembers.

5 Sacrifice (7.2 266 Votes)

When Cell achieves his first transformation, he's able to dispose of Android 16 in no time. 16 tries to fight back, but he has his forehead broken by the dastardly Cell. With no one able to fight, Tien steps in against the monster. He knows that he can't kill Cell, but he does give 18 the chance to grab 16 and get the hell out of dodge. Tien may be an insect against Cell, but seeing him go out in such a blaze of glory put a smile on many fans' faces.

4 Bow to the Prince (7.2 267 Votes)

In this brilliantly titled episode, we get to see the fruits of Vegeta's training in action as he transforms into Super Vegeta. Vegeta begins to go all out against Cell, gaining an increase in both speed and power as the android is bearly able to land a blow against Vegeta. He even uses Vegeta's Galik Gun against the Prince of all Saiyans, but this doesn't phase him.

We thought we saw the limits of Vegeta's power when he fought against 18, but all he needed to do was some sit-ups and drink plenty of orange juice to get even stronger.

3 The Unleashing (7.2 317 Votes)

Anime The Unleashing Gohan vs Cell Cropped

Gohan has done it. He's unleashed his rage and has powered up to Super Saiyan 2. Gohan is pissed and needs to take his rage out on someone, and he sees the Cell Jrs.

After the hellspawn's spent the last episode beating up the Z-Fighters, audiences got a taste of Gohan's new power by killing each of the Cell Jrs. He decapitates them, chops them in half, and punches them out of oblivion. For years, Gohan has always been one of the weaker members of Earth's warriors, but he's finally reached his prime by going up against foes that not even his father was able to defeat.

2 Super Vegeta (7.4 292 Votes)

Cell continues his hunt for 18. He destroys islands in an attempt to flesh her out, but she and 16 are able to hide out for a while. Luckily, Vegeta and Trunks have stepped out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, gaining immense power.

Vegeta decides to confront Cell and shows off a bit of his energy, while Goku and Gohan go into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Within minutes of meeting Cell, Vegeta buffs up and transforms into the titular Super Vegeta and punches the android in the gut. Seeing Vegeta gain the upper hand on Cell was incredibly satisfying, after Vegeta's humiliating defeat by 18. However, Fans would have to wait to see what the Prince of All Saiyans was really made of.

1 Losers Fight First (7.4 297 Votes)

Anime Hercule vs Cell Losers fight first Cropped

Yeah, we're just as surprised as you are. Before we can get to the Z-Fighters going up against Cell, Earth's mightiest warriors must first watch as the new martial art's champion of the world, Hercule (Mr. Satan), and his cronies go up against the all-powerful android.

While fights that involved Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo taking on Cell have millions of views on Youtube, IMDB users seem more fond of the silly antics of Hercule and his gang of "fighters" failing to stand a chance against Cell. It's funny to see these guys fight, but we're still shocked to learn THIS is the best-ranked episode of DBZ's Cell Saga on IMDB.
