Some of Dragon Ball's most popular fan creations ended up taking on lives of their own over the years, becoming surprisingly popular and long-lasting. Some of the ideas included in the fan-made sequel series Dragon Ball AF included new villainous characters with connections to other figures, such as Zaiko (Goku's twisted potential son) and a new member of the Frost Demon race of villains, expanding upon the family of Frieza and the power levels they could reach.

Who is Ize, the son of Frieza from Youngjijii's version of Dragon Ball AF -- and just how powerful is he?

WHO IS IZE, AND WHAT COULD HE DO?

Dragon Ball AF was a rumored sequel to Dragon Ball GT, exploring a possible future for the Z-Warriors. Different fan creators attempted to make this wild rumor into a reality. The version of Dragon Ball AF by Japanese fan-artist Youngjiji introduced Frieza's son Ize, who was been hidden away from the public. After spending 50 years in suspended animation (and therefore missing the events of the main Dragon Ball saga), Ize awoke fully grown and far more powerful than his father.

Ize's described as being roughly 100 times stronger than Frieza's Perfect Form. Desperate for a genuine challenge, Ize killed his way across the galaxy before learning about the existence of Earth. Seeking a battle with Goku out of a desire for a good fight, Ize instead found himself facing the remaining Z-Warriors -- with Vegeta and Gohan putting up the best fight against the alien threat. However, Ize proved to be an incredibly powerful fighter and proved his strength. Ize used many powers techniques similar to his father, largely surpassing the abilities of his opponents.

Ize had three distinct forms. His first was similar to Frieza's Perfect form, and is capable of keeping up with Vegeta. His second form was similar to King Cold and Frieza's second form, and is powerful enough to keep up with Vegeta's Super Saiyan 4 transformation. His cocky attitude was befitting his family, and he largely brought down the Z-Warriors with ease, even taking down Uub and cutting off one of Gogeta's arms mid-battle. He even eventually revealed a third form, that drew more from the look of Frieza's third form or Cooler's secondary form.

This form was too much for the heroes, and even resulted in the death of Pan from a stray blast to the chest -- a loss made worse by the fact that the Dragon Balls no longer technically exist within the world after the conclusion of Dragon Ball GT. This enraged Gohan enough to achieve the previously unseen Super Saiyan 5 form -- at which point he was finally strong enough to kill Ize with a massive blast. While Ize comes across as a very basic version of Frieza and lacks much of the malicious personality that made Frieza memorable, Ize was even stronger than his father.

Frieza, of course, would grow even stronger in Dragon Ball Super, even gaining a new Golden Form that puts him on the same level of power as Goku in Super Saiyan God Form. Ize is arguably to be around that same power level, considering it takes an entire new Super Saiyan form to defeat him.
