Broly is a Saiyan from Universe 7 in Dragon Ball and one of the most powerful ones to have ever existed. Born on Planet Vegeta, Broly was exiled due to having too much power right from birth. He has spent most of his life on Planet Vampa and grew stronger there. As a Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly belongs to the group of warriors who come into existence once every millennium.

As seen in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Broly possesses tremendous power that knows no bounds. Despite his devastating strength, however, Broly is a noted pacifist. And yet, his skill of growing through battles is incredible, and that's why he's one of the most fearsome fighters in the series. However, some Dragon Ball characters could give him a run for his money.

This character has fought some of the strongest opponents and emerged victorious, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he could take everyone out. As such, we've updated this list with some more relevant information.

Characters Who Can Defeat Broly

Gogeta Is Far More Capable Than Both Goku And Vegeta

Gogeta is one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball, created by the fusion of Goku and Vegeta. Being a Metamoran fusion, it goes without saying that Gogeta is far more capable than both Goku and Vegeta. After all, he's the combination of two of the most powerful characters in anime history.

In the Broly movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Gogeta was shown fighting against Broly. It was quickly evident that there was a massive power difference between the two. Broly, while strong and durable, was absolutely no match for Gogeta Blue. In a drawn-out battle, Broly would run out of steam long before this particular opponent.

Vegito Might Actually Be Stronger Than Gogeta

Vegito is another fusion of Goku and Vegeta, but this one makes use of the Potara earrings. This means that Vegito is just as strong as Gogeta, if not stronger. He was able to fight and overwhelm Fused Zamasu in battle, which just goes to show how powerful he is.

Since Gogeta would be able to deal with Broly without much trouble, it can be easily assumed that the same would be the case for Vegito. Fans haven't seen Vegito and Broly actually fight, but Vegito likely has the upper hand in any duel that might arise between these two powerhouses.

Beerus Is A Literal God Of Destruction

Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7, which is impressive by itself. In addition, he wields mind-blowing powers like Beerus' Judgment. He was able to defeat Goku in his Super Saiyan God form without even using his real powers, which shows how frightening Beerus really is.

Although Broly is commonly assumed to be stronger than Beerus, it can't be denied that Beerus has extra powers up his sleeve, such as Hakai. If that's not convincing enough, Beerus' status as a God of Destruction ultimately gives him the edge over pretty much anyone — including Broly.

Jiren Could Overwhelm Goku's Newest Powerful Form

One of the members of the Pride Troopers, Jiren hails from Universe 11. He made himself known as one of the strongest in the series during the Tournament of Power. Jiren's strength surpassed that of even the Gods of Destruction, and he could also match Goku's Ultra Instinct in a fight.

Since then, Jiren is likely to have grown stronger and has plenty more power to send Broly's way. Broly is unquestionably powerful, but even he won't be able to hold his own against someone who has managed to overcome Gods as well as Goku's newest powerful form.

Whis Occasionally Serves As A Trump Card When All Else Fails

Whis is an Angel who serves as the attendant of Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. He is known to be even stronger than Beerus and his skills know no bounds, as Whis sometimes serves as a trump card when all else fails. Whis has also demonstrated his ability by fighting and defeating both Goku and Vegeta in the past.

Whis' use of the Autonomous Ultra Instinct is just one of his strongest abilities, so much so that even Beerus learned this technique from him. Furthermore, Whis can manipulate time for short durations, making him even stronger. For him, defeating Broly in a fight shouldn't be much trouble at all.

Characters Who Broly Can Defeat

Goku's Chances Against Broly Are Still Relatively Low

Goku is a Saiyan from Universe 7 who possesses tremendous fighting ability. There doesn't seem to be any limit to how strong Goku can grow. During the Tournament of Power, Goku managed to gain the powers of Ultra Instinct, and during the Moro arc, he learned how to use the Ultra Instinct Sign at will.

Strong as he is, Goku's chances of defeating Broly are still very low. Fans think Broly is superior to him in terms of combat, which is actually a good thing because it gives Goku a reason to keep striving for his peak form. That said, there will come a time when Goku is going to surpass Broly.

Vegeta Will Most Certainly End Up Getting Crushed

Vegeta is the Prince of the Saiyans in Universe 7 and one of the strongest characters in the series. He is strong enough to take on Goku in a fight, although the latter appears to be just strong enough to keep Vegeta in permanent second place. Then again, Vegeta was able to put up a decent fight against Jiren during the Tournament of Power

He even defeated Toppo, a God of Destruction candidate. Unfortunately, Vegeta's level is defined below that of Broly's, and no matter how strong Vegeta is right now, he will end up getting crushed. That said, fans wonder if Ultra Ego Vegeta could turn the tides of battle in his favor, albeit temporarily.

Hit's Time Skip Ability Can Probably Be Overcome By Broly

Universe 6's best assassin, Hit is a powerful fighter who has fought against the likes of Goku and Vegeta on multiple occasions now. Just like them, he is capable of growing stronger and stronger as the battle progresses. In addition, Hit's ability allows him to skip time and kill his enemies easily.

However, the chances of this technique working on Broly are quite low. Previously, Goku and Jiren had demonstrated their ability to break through Hit's special technique. Since Broly is evidently stronger than Goku, there's no reason to doubt that Broly can't overcome the iconic Time-Skip.

Toppo Is Inferior To Both Goku And Vegeta

Toppo is also a member of the Pride Troopers, just like Jiren. He is powerful enough to get recommended for the God of Destruction position, which means he is a worthy opponent for Broly. However, just because he qualifies as a God of Destruction doesn't necessarily mean that he's stronger than Broly.

Toppo was definitively proven inferior to Goku and Vegeta during the Tournament of Power, and not even Goku or Vegeta would stand a chance against Broly. In other words, Broly should be several times stronger than him. For now, it is impossible for Broly to lose against Toppo.

Krillin Might Be Strong, But He's Still An Ordinary Human

Krillin is a human from Earth and one of the characters who fight to protect the planet from all incoming threats. As a human, Krillin is known to be exceptionally powerful, but he's always wanted to live a quiet life and doesn't really like engaging in pointless battles.

Despite his unquestionable strength and fearsome abilities, however, Krillin stands no chance when compared to someone like Broly. For starters, Krillin is a human while Broly is a Saiyan — and an exceptionally talented Saiyan, at that. For Broly, defeating Krillin should be an easy piece of cake.
