With this coming November marking the seven-year anniversary of Dragon Age: Inquisition, the latest installment in BioWare's fantasy RPG franchise, fans may still need to wait another several years for Dragon Age 4.
Dragon Age 4 is currently slated to launch in 2023, reported VentureBeat. According to the report, an EA spokesperson claimed the publisher has neither a release date nor any plans to share one any time soon. Until then fans will have to keep their eyes out for the game's marketing, potentially ramping up in 2022.
EA Play Live, the company's major 2021 presentation, took place earlier this week, with some of the publishing house's biggest franchises -- including Mass Effect, Skate, Star Wars and Dragon Age -- not making appearances. BioWare tweeted prior to the event, "We’re hard at work creating the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect games and have some exciting stuff coming to
Star Wars: The Old Republic this year."
Helping appease Dragon Age fans for the franchise's absence at EA Play Live, BioWare showed off a new piece of concept art earlier this month. The concept art showcases what fans have speculated is the return of the Antivan Crows -- a stylish faction of assassins first appearing through party member Zevran in Dragon Age: Origins.
