The anime adaptation of Shonen Jump's bestselling manga series Dr. Stone is weeks away from premiering and TMS Entertainment has released a new trailer for the anime.

While it doesn't include English subtitles, the trailer shows science students Senku Ishigami and Taiju Ōki and the rest of the world caught in a mysterious green flash of light that engulfs the planet and suddenly turns everyone into stone statues of themselves.

Breaking free of their stone prisons in the far future of 5738, Senku and Taiju set out to rebuild civilization after its been long-since overtaken by nature only to encounter a new foe who has also emerged from the stone.

The Shonen Jump manga, which has been serialized in North America by VIZ Media, has sold nearly two million volumes since its debut in 2017. The anime adaptation will be simulcast in Japan and the United States; a day-and-date broadcast premiere between the two countries.

The original Japanese voice cast includes Yūsuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World) as Senku Ishigami, Makoto Furukawa (Saitama in One Punch Man) as Taiju Ōki, Kana Ichinose (Ichigo in DARLING in the FRANXX) as Yuzuriha Ogawa and Yuuichi Nakamura (Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Tsukasa Shishiou.

Dr. Stone premieres on Crunchyroll on July 5.
