Dorohedoro’s first season left off with something of a cliffhanger, with the main characters in rather a lot of peril and with no actual answers to the major questions of the series.

As rumors about season two start swirling, it’s hard not to wonder what kinds of storylines and details from the manga are going to make their way into the new episodes and what characters the anime will focus on and follow. Here are 10 things from the manga that viewers hope to see in season two.

10 Kaiman And Nikaido Tracking Sorcerers

For the whole first season of the series, Kaiman and Nikaido have been working together, albeit with different goals in mind, to find a very particular sorcerer. They’ll continue to do this in season two, coming closer and closer to the answers that they seek. Fans will enjoy continuing to follow these adventures as the pair continue traveling together.

9 Kaiman Finding The Person Who Cursed Him

Kaiman lives his life with a lizard head, so it’s no wonder he’s really interested in tracking down the person who’s responsible for this condition.

If the manga is anything to go by, Kaiman is closer than ever to finding out who this is. The likelihood that viewers will get answers to this as well in the coming season is also pretty high.

8 Clues To Kaiman’s Past

Kaiman doesn’t really remember anything about his time before he had a lizard head, but, as can be seen in the manga, that’s probably going to change in season two. Kaiman is slowly starting to regain his memories of who he was before, and that information will also be shared with the viewers as he finds more and more clues to his past.

7 Kaiman Will Learn What His Face Looks Like

As mentioned above, and, as anyone who watches the show knows, Kaiman is stuck with the head of a lizard, and he doesn’t really know anything about who he was before he became this lizard-headed creature. That includes not actually knowing what he looks like when he’s not a lizard.

But, as he starts to remember details about who he is, he also is likely going to remember what his face looks like when he has a human head, which means viewers get to see this too.

6 Professor Kasukabe’s Past

Professor Kasukabe is a scholar who studies magic users, and, given all of the shenanigans with the Cross-Eyes about magic users, he is pretty much constantly in danger. Still, viewers don’t know very much about his past or where he comes from or why he’s so obsessed with magic users that he’s willing to put his own life in danger in order to learn more about them. Season two will almost certainly deal more with Kasukabe and what his deal is, giving viewers a better grasp on this character.

5 More About The Cross-Eyes

The major villains of the series are the Cross-Eyes, who are weak magic users trying pretty much every method possible to get more powerful.

They’ve been pretty successful at it already, though viewers of the first season don’t have all of the information about where they got all of this power. Season two will likely delve more deeply into the source of the Cross-Eyes’ power, as well as what their ultimate goals are.

4 Nikaido And Kaiman’s Relationship

Kaiman and Nikaido haven’t exactly been the best of friends since the start of the series, and they’ve actually had it out for each other pretty significantly over the course of season one. Now they’re trying to put their past behind them so they can continue to work together to try to find the answers they seek. Viewers can definitely look forward to more of their relationship and how it unfolds in season two.

3 People Trying To Kill Kaiman

Kaiman is not exactly a popular guy, and he makes a lot of enemies by poking around and getting in people’s business.

That’s not even to mention that he has a lizard head, which makes him super recognizable and easy to track down. Lots of people are going to be out for revenge on Kaiman in season two, and he’s going to have to watch his back even more closely.

2 Cross-Eyes Experimentation

Where it hasn’t been overtly stated, viewers have had some pretty good ideas that the Cross-Eyes have gained their power through experimentation. Viewers can expect to see even more of the results of these experiments in season two, as well as exactly what the Cross-Eyes have to do in order to make these things happen. It’s hard not to look forward to how grotesque everything can get.

1 Magic-Users

Magic users are both powerful beings in Dorohedoro and also are heavily persecuted because of that power. Kaiman and Nikaido, for example, are constantly looking for sorcerers, though they don’t necessarily have bad things in mind for all of them. But there are more dastardly plans in mind for them as well, which put them in even more danger as season two kicks off. People watching the series can definitely expect to see a lot of peril surrounding them in episodes to come.
