Sideshow Collectibles is releasing a maquette of Superman's most powerful foe, Doomsday, who did the unthinkable by killing the Man of Steel.

Polyresin with some fabric, this limited-edition maquette is 26 1/2 inches tall, mounted on a mock base of rubble. Doomsday holds a shredded Superman cape in one hand, and Wonder Woman's sword, Aquaman's trident and Batman's cowl lay at his feet. Batarangs are stuck in his chest and shoulders, as well -- all trophies of a final battle against the Justice League. The description also indicates Doomsday's left hand sports an inert Green Lantern ring, forced on "in a brutal display of force."

Also featured in great detail is "sculpted green leg armor, as remnants of the beast’s containment suit cling to his hulking physique," paying tribute to Doomsday's look in his first appearance. In addition, "His body is covered in countless jagged spikes and rough textures, giving Doomsday his famous otherworldly appearance" -- bone protrusions sharp enough to cut and maim Superman.

One remnant of Doomsday's containment suit, the red-lensed mask, can be swapped out, and Superman's tattered cape can be articulated and posed thanks to wiring embedded in the fabric.

At a cost of $1,250 and weighing in at 40 lbs., Sideshow urges you pair the limited edition sculpture "with heroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to stage an epic showdown in your lineup of DC Collectibles." Companion pieces of DC's elite heroes are also available.
