Even since DC Rebirth brought the world of Watchmen into the DC Universe, DC fans have been eager to figure out what exactly happened between Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan and the DC Universe.

While he clearly used his omnipotent abilities to wipe out about a decade's worth of history, it's not clear what happened to all that time or where historical figures like the Justice Society of America went.

DC's heroes and villains have already encountered characters from Watchmen in Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's Doomsday Clock, but the series has been light on grand revelations about the precise nature of what Dr. Manhattan actually did to the main DC timeline.

However, it looks like that's about to change with Doomsday Clock #10. In DC's solicitation for that upcoming issue, the publisher announced that the "secrets behind Dr. Manhattan and his connection to the DC Universe" will be revealed.

If the variant cover of the issue is any indication, those secrets will involve the Justice Society of America. The cover depicts a child reading 1940's All-Star Comics #3, the comic book that brought some of DC's biggest heroes together for the very first time as the Justice Society. While the last issue of the series teased the long-awaited return of the team, it's still not clear how, of if, they'll find their way back into the DC Universe.

It's also worth noting that the name written on the mailbox near the child is "Colman." This could be a reference to Carver Colman, an actor who plays detective Nathaniel Dusk in several old movies that are featured in the series. The main cover for this issue apparently depicts a scene from one of Colman's films, where Dusk lies on the ground, trapped under the boot of his assailants.
