DC's Doom Patrol continues to fill out its roster of villains with the arrival of the Sisterhood of Dada.
Created by comics writer Grant Morrison, the original Brotherhood of Dada was a collection of the weirdest and wackiest villains that debuted in Sep. 1989. Led by Mister Nobody, who appeared in Doom Patrol's first season played by Alan Tudyk, the Brotherhood's ultimate goal was to drive the whole world insane through strange and esoteric schemes.
The show's Sisterhood will be made up of the following cast members:
Micah Joe Parker will play Malcolm, "a quiet, sensitive and thoughtful soul who would often rather be invisible than face this unforgiving world." In the comics, Malcolm was Agent "!," whose power was to go completely unnoticed by people despite his bizarre appearance. Parker previously played the recurring role of Adrian on The Vampire Diaries.
Wynn Everett will play Shelley Byron, a.k.a. The Fog. "Supposedly a deadly terrorist, Shelley is charming, seductive, poetic and a bit mad." The Fog could turn into a cloud of smoke that could absorb people. Everett is probably best known for playing the villain Whitney Frost in Season Two of Marvel's Agent Carter.
Miles Mussenden will play Lloyd Jefferson, a.k.a. Frenzy, "A sculptor of strange life-like masks who is covered with tattoos and scars, the memories and injustices that immortalize his life, he is cryptic and stoic with a capacity for extreme devastation." Frenzy was an illiterate would-be poet who could turn into a living tornado. Mussenden played Otis Johnson, the father of Ty Johnson on Marvel's Cloak and Dagger.
Anita Kalathara will play Holly McKenzie, a.k.a. Sleepwalk. "A light-hearted ne'er do well, Holly knows where the best parties are. After a wild night of partying, she usually takes a nice long nap in the ice cream truck where she works, and if she is awoken mid-nap, there is hell to pay." Sleepwalk had the power of superhuman strength, but only when she was asleep. Kalathara has had roles on Room 104 and MacGuyver.
Gina Hiraizumi will play Sachiko, a.k.a. The Quiz. "She is an enigmatic germaphobe whose crippling phobias mask awe-inspiring powers." Perhaps the strangest among the group (and that's saying something), the Quiz had "every superpower you haven't thought of yet," giving her nigh-limitless abilities so long as she acted before anyone could recognize them. Hiraizumi has had roles on Dynasty and Hawaii Five-O.
The five join fellow newcomers Michelle Gomez as the shape-shifting villain Madame Rouge and Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant as Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland, the Dead Boy Detectives.
Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Jovian Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder. Season 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
