HBO Max and DC Universe have released the official synopsis for the second season of Doom Patrol, which will premiere on both services June 25.

The synopsis recaps how the dysfunctional family was betrayed by Niles Caulder, aka The Chief, and stuck in a shrunken state. Also, there is the introduction of Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro) as a new teammate to the Doom Patrol, and her mysterious powers that can doom the world.

DC’s strangest group of heroes are back again to save the world. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk - “Harley Quinn”), the members of the Doom Patrol find themselves shrunken and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton - “Hot Fuzz”), while confronting their own personal baggage. As each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro - “Broadway Kids Against Bullying: I Have a Voice”), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

Streaming now on DC Universe, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, Diana Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Joivan Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder. Season 2 premieres on HBO Max and DC Universe Thursday, June 25.
