The misfit heroes of Doom Patrol will return for Season 2 at DC Universe and HBO Max in 2020.

As revealed by executive producer Jeremy Carver and star Diane Guerrero at the DC Universe presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the team's next adventures will air on both DC Universe and HBO Max, WarnerMedia's new upcoming streaming service. Doom Patrol Season 1 will also be available for streaming on the first day of the service's launch, which will be sometime in 2020. The episode count and exact release date were not revealed.

The first season of Doom Patrol earned critical acclaim and currently sits at a stellar 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series follows the

titular team, which was created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani in the pages of 1963's My Greatest Adventure #80. Season 1 saw Cliff Steele/Robotman, Rita Farr, Larry Trainor/Negative Man, Kay Challis/Jane and Victor Stone/Cyborg team-up to rescue Dr. Niles Caulder/The Chief from the clutches of the evil Mr. Nobody. They were eventually joined by Flex Mentallo on their journey.

Streaming now on DC Universe, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, Diana Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Joivan Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder.
