New photos from Season 3 of Doom Patrol feature the debut of Michelle Gomez's Madame Rouge.

Entertainment Weekly shared the images, which feature two different looks at the classic comic book foe of the misfit superheroes. While the second shot certainly looks villainous, the first sees Madame Rouge seeming to have an amicable chat with Cyborg and Rita, because in true Doom Patrol fashion, this won't be a black-and-white take on the character. Check out the photos below:

While Madame Rouge is a villain in the comics, and Gomez has become a fan-favorite for playing baddies on Doctor Who and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the live-action take on the character won't be so straightforward.

"When I was talking to her about the part, I was trying to explain to her that in our eyes the Madame Rouge of Doom Patrol is much like the other characters in that you can't quite pin them as good or bad," showrunner Jeremy Carver said of Gomez joining the show. "They've all done things they're ashamed of, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad people. This wrestling with 'Am I good or bad?' is really at the heart of Michelle's character arc this season, and she wrings more out of a line in terms of finding comedy or pathos than just about anybody. I think what she brings to the show is just thrilling."

Created by Arnold Drake, Madame Rouge debuted in 1964's Doom Patrol #86. She's long been part of the Brotherhood of Evil, and her compatriots The Brain and Monsieur Mallah will also be joining Doom Patrol for Season 3, bringing more of DC's weirdest characters to the screen. But while Madame Rouge is a formidable foe for the offbeat heroes on the page, this version won't even be aware of her own shapeshifting powers.

"It's frankly a funny path of self-discovery because when she comes to be with the Doom Patrol, she's completely forgotten who she is and what her powers are," Carver said. "So watching her rediscover what she can do is hopefully a lot of fun and a little silly. She's just been nothing short of amazing for us this year."

Season 3 of Doom Patrol arrives Sept. 23 on HBO Max.
