Less than two months before the premiere of the latest DC Universe exclusive live-action series, Doom Patrol, and the show has reportedly already been renewed for a second season by the premium streaming service.

According to FandomWire.com, the upcoming series has been renewed internally by DC Comics and Warner Bros. with an official announcement expected sometime shortly before its February release. Additionally, principal photography on the second season is expected to begin sometime in the summer. This follows the streaming service's similar strategy with Titans which was confirmed for a second season this past October before the series made its official premiere.

Spinning out of the the first season of the inaugural DC Universe original series Titans, Doom Patrol is developed for television by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) with April Bowlby, Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser reprising their roles from their previous appearance on Titans.

Principal photography on the spinoff series took place during this past August and September in Georgia. It is expected to follow the DC superhero Cyborg as he rallies the misfit team into action to combat a new threat.

Debuting on February 15 on DC Universe, Doom Patrol stars Timothy Dalton, Brendan Fraser, Joivan Wade, April Bowlby, Diane Guerrero, Alan Tudyk and Matt Bomer.
