Doom Patrol, a series known for representing the strange and obscure parts of DC Comics lore, is adding another to its roster with the casting of the Dead Boy Detectives for the upcoming Season Three.

According to The Direct, Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant will play Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland, two adolescent boys who died sometime during the early 20th Century and, rather than move on to the afterlife, chose to stay on Earth as spirits and solve supernatural crimes. Croft previously played a young version of Ned Stark during the sixth season of Game of Thrones. Tennant's prior credits include playing young Christopher Wiseman in Tolkien and Tom Gresham in Urban Myth Films's miniseries War of the Worlds.

This isn't the only casting announcement for Doom Patrol. In March, it was revealed that Michelle Gomez would join the series as Madame Rouge, a shapeshifting actress and longtime enemy of DC's weirdest heroes..

However, the show was picked up for a third season in Sep. 2020 and production was announced to have started this past January.

Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Jovian Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder. Season 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
