President Donald Trump responded to his Home Alone 2 cameo being cut by a Canadian Broadcast.

The movie aired on CBC and cut Trump's cameo, in which Kevin McCallister asks the real estate mogul for directions in the Plaza Hotel. The president wrote on Twitter that "the movie will never be the same! (just kidding)" and blamed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the cut.

CBC spokesman Chuck Thompson said the cameo was cut to make room for commercials and that it was not the only part of the movie that was not aired.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the direct sequel to the film. In this movie, Kevin loses his family at the airport and accidentally boards a plane for New York City while the rest of his family heads off to Florida. Once in New York, Kevin finds his way to the Plaza Hotel and has another encounter with the very same burglars from the previous film.

Home Alone is one of the most beloved Christmas film franchises of all time. A reboot of the franchise is currently in development on Disney+, with principal photography expected to take place in Canada next year. Details on the production are still under wraps but is expected to follow an entirely new character in a similar solitary situation.
