After inspiring a hashtag and a parody Twitter account, the next logical step in the evolution of the "BatTrump" meme is, of course, an animated mashup.

Inspired by Republican frontrunner Donald Trump's joking proclamation that "I am Batman," ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! brought together audio of the presidential candidate and footage from Batman: The Animated Series to see what he would be like as the Caped Crusader.

As it turns out, Trump might be better suited for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns than the beloved '90s cartoon: "The American dream is dead!"
