An official teaser for Doctor Who Series 13 welcomes comedian John Bishop to the cast of the iconic British sci-fi series.The clip, shared to the official Doctor Who Twitter account, sees Bishop's character, Dan, being read his horoscope as he loads supplies into a van. Dan is told, "Be prepared for action and whatever hurdles come your way, just remember: it's not the end of the world." The teaser is accompanied by the caption, "Welcome to the TARDIS."
Haling from Liverpool, Bishop is a prominent British television comedian and actor, as well as a former footballer. He will join the cast of Doctor Who as Dan when the show returns for its 13th series later this year. In the meantime, Doctor Who is airing its latest holiday special, "Revolution of the Daleks,' tonight on BBC America to help ring in 2021.
