Doctor Who S10 Premiere, Spinoff Get North American Theatrical Release

In what is fast becoming a tradition for the company, Fathom Events is set to give "Doctor Who's" Series 10 premiere a special two-day theatrical release in theaters across North America on April 17 and 19.

What's more, the episode will be accompanied by two bonus features — the opening installment of "Doctor Who" school-based spinoff "Class," in which Peter Capaldi's Doctor also guest stars, and a never-before-seen behind-the-scenes bonus mini documentary entitled “Becoming the Companion,” in which the "Doctor Who" cast and crew describe the process involved in selecting the right actor, and the right character, with whom the Doctor can share his next set of adventures.

According to series showrunner Stephen Moffat, it is a task that is “every bit as difficult as casting a new Doctor.”

Someone else who could easily be described as "difficult" is the Doctor's nemesis Missy. Played with great relish by Michelle Gomez, Missy is once again set to return in series 10.

Not one to be overshadowed by anyone, least of all her fellow Time Lord, Missy has recorded her own reaction video to the latest series 10 trailer, as featured in this tweet from the official "Doctor Who" Twitter feed.

Featuring Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts, and Matt Lucas as Nardole, “Doctor Who” returns to BBC One and BBC America on Saturday, April 15. The "Doctor Who" spinoff "Class" also makes its US debut on BBC America on the same day. Tickets for the cinematic showings of the episode and its companion features can be purchased via the Fathom Events website.
