"Doctor Who" spotlights the Time Lord's new companion in a promo for the upcoming 10th season of the long-running sci-fi series.
Cast in April 2016, Pearl Mackie plays Bill Potts, who provides the voiceover for the new footage, which also features Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor and Matt Lucas as Nardole.
"The first time you meet him, he's funny, " Bill says, referring, of course, to the Doctor. "The second time, he's amazing. The third time, you realize he's the most dangerous man in the universe. He says he's a man of peace, but he walks in war. I'm having the time of my life, and I wouldn't miss it for the world -- even if it kills me."
The 10th season of "Doctor Who" arrives in April in the shadow of change, as Capaldi has confirmed he'll leave the series with the 2017 Christmas special. It also marks the final season for lead writer and showrunner Steven Moffat, who will pass the reins to Chris Chibnall (“Broadchurch”).
"Doctor Who" returns for its 10th season Saturday, April 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America, followed by the series premiere of its spinoff "Class."
