WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Strange Academy #5 by Skottie Young, Humberto Ramos, Edgar Delgado, and VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale now.

Doyle Dormammu, the son of the villainous sorcerer Domammu, tries hard to be a good kid. His dad isn't the most liked guy in any universe, but Doyle keeps his chin up and does his best. He's made friends at Strange Academy, he has a crush, and he also might have left a piece of himself behind during a trip to see a fortune teller in New Orleans. It isn't a problem for him, but the seer, Miss Hazel, has a few complaints. Luckily, she's in a city with a couple of mystical Doctors right around the corner, and she's friendly enough with one of them that he's willing to make an impromptu house call.

When the kids were exploring the city, they stopped in at Crossroads, a kitsch shop that also specializes in simple voodoo and fortune telling, or rather showing, as Miss Hazel puts it. She showed Doyle Dormammu a vision of what his future had in store, and he was almost broken by an image of his friends dying and his father destroying the school. The students didn't respond well to what happened to their friend, and Zoe put Miss Hazel in her place before the group left to help classmates Calvin, Alvi, and German with some muggers.

Since showing Doyle his future, Ms. Hazel has a problem she can't get rid of. She's called the good Doctor in to help cure what ails her, as he most certainly would have some idea of what that is exactly. When Miss Hazel lifts the blindfold from over her eyes, she shows Doctor Voodoo the bright, glowing energy that is flowing out from her eye sockets. She tells Voodoo that Doyle left a part of himself behind, and he surmises that this piece of Doyle has bonded with her prophetic ability. It isn't going to be easy to do, but Voodoo assures Miss Hazel that he will be able to send someone to take care of this for her.

When Voodoo meets with Doctor Strange back at the Academy, Strange doesn't show any particular concern for Miss Hazel's visons, or for the missing Calvin. Doctor Strange has a personal problem with the word "prophecy," but Voodoo tells Strange that he is being naive. Strange is concerned that putting one of the students, any of them, at the center of some prophetic vision of the future will make them reckless, but Voodoo wants the children to understand what they are capable of so that they can make their own decisions regarding their powers, and their futures.

Strange Academy Doyle Dormammu

Doctor Strange has a lot on his plate already, but it would be in his best interests to investigate what has happened between Doyle and Miss Hazel. The future she showed Doyle included Strange, as well as the Hollow, who have been very interested in getting their hands on the student body, and have in fact already done so.

Once his classmates realized that Calvin was gone, they went looking for him in the swamp. They're on the right track, as that's where he landed during their game of door tag the night before, but they really should have told someone where they were going. Now, all of the students from the Strange Academy are in the clutches of the Hollow, and as much as Doctor Strange doesn't want any of his wards to be dubbed "The One," it looks like Doyle Dormammu might already have been.
