Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Elizabeth Olsen explained why the version of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch that took on the Illuminati on Earth-838 is weaker than her counterpart.

In a video posted to Marvel's Instagram page, Olsen addressed Scarlet Witch's powers during her confrontation with the Illuminati on Earth-838. After saying she thought the battle with the Illuminati would have been easier for her character, Olsen said, "The way we justified it being harder is because she's trying to keep this physical connection inhabiting this other Wanda's body." She then explained that Earth-838's Wanda wasn't as well-tuned in terms of her powers, which added to the challenge.
