One doesn't simply become Master of the Mystic Arts overnight -- there's a bit of a learning curve, as we see in this new scene from Marvel's "Doctor Strange."

In the clip, which debuted on Mashable, the Sanctum Sanctorum comes under attack by Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) and his minions, but Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange isn't quite prepared to fight them. However, we're sure he'll get the hang of the whole "Sorcerer Supreme" thing ... eventually.
The scene showcases a little of the film's humor as well as its action sequences and visual effects, both of which have received praise in early reactions from critics. Directed by Scott Derrickson ("Sinister," "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"), the film follows top neurosurgeon Stephen Strange, who, after a career-ending car accident, sets out on a journey of healing. Along the way he encounters the Ancient One, who becomes his mentor in the mystic arts.
Arriving in theaters Nov. 4, "Doctor Strange" stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.
