Although Strange was able to manipulate events so that the Avengers emerged victorious in Avengers: Endgame, the COVID-19 pandemic doesn't have such a simple solution. All that the people of the real world can do is wait and see how things turn out, while continuing to practice social distancing and health guidelines.

Derrickson directed the first Doctor Strange film and was set to direct its sequel, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, but departed the project citing creative differences. Sam Raimi, who helmed the first Spider-Man trilogy, took over as director; Derrickson serves as an executive producer on the film.

Derrickson's next project will reunite him with a pair of Marvel Cinematic Universe alums: the former Captain America himself, Chris Evans, and frequent co-collaborator Scott Cargill, who co-wrote the Doctor Strange script with Derrickson.
