The excitement for Insomniac Games' upcoming Spider-Man PS4-exclusive video game is building more and more for Marvel fans across the world, with the presence of Doctor Strange now official.

After previous speculation, new gameplay footage from E3 of Spider-Man swinging on the rooftops of New York City has confirmed Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum does exist. This now presents the possibility of a Marvel Game Universe being set up, even if it's just a tease with the web-crawler not being able to go inside the magical base.

Recently, it was also confirmed that Avengers tower also exists in the game, but we're still waiting to find out if all these connections to the pantheon of Marvel superheroes are really just easter eggs. Who knows, maybe Spidey will be able to interact with them, or even team-up? Given that Square Enix holds the rights for developing the Avengers games though, it may just be wishful thinking.

Either way, with so much about the Spider-Man game kept under wraps, we're still waiting to see which other heroes and villains pop up, and if Insomniac does have expansion plans or a larger universe in mind.
