Elizabeth Olsen has responded to rumors that state Marvel Studios is developing a solo movie for her Marvel Cinematic Universe antihero Scarlet Witch.

In an interview with Good Morning America, the actor was asked if she was going to appear in the upcoming WandaVision spinoff Agatha: House of Harkness or in her own Scarlet Witch solo movie. "I would love to be a part of both of those," Olsen admitted. "No one tells me anything, and I'm not even hiding a secret because I'm bad at that. I know nothing about my future." Olsen first appeared as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and recently reprised the role in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which ended with Scarlet Witch's apparent death.

Olsen has also appeared as Scarlet Witch in the MCU films Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). The actor previously revealed that she would continue to reprise the character as long as Marvel committed to moving Scarlet Witch's story forward. "I think I would," Olsen replied when asked if she would welcome the chance to return to the MCU. "But it really needs to be a good story. I think these films are best when it's not about creating content, but about having a very strong point of view — not because you need to have a three-picture plan."

One story that would immediately interest Olsen is the arrival of the X-Men in the MCU. When asked how she felt about the mutants possibly crossing paths with the Avengers in a future film, she responded, "If we're bringing X-Men back, I'll wanna be there!" However, the actor clarified that she had no knowledge pertaining to Scarlet Witch being involved in any X-Men projects. "I have no actual plans yet. I am very excited to talk with Kevin [Feige] about that at some point."

Agatha: House of Harkness is expected to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia in October. So far, no other cast members beyond Kathryn Hahn have been announced for the Disney+ series, which will serve as a follow-up to WandaVision. Plot details remain scarce at this time, so it is unknown if the series will be an origin story for Agatha or will be set after the events of WandaVision, which ended with Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch stripping Agatha of her magical powers.

With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness recently added on Disney+, fans can now watch all of Elizabeth Olsen's performances as Scarlet Witch on the streaming service. Agatha: House of Harkness does not have an exact release date, but it is expected to premiere on Disney+ in the 2023-2024 TV season.
