Marvel Studios Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige recently addressed how Marvel's Multiverse strategy will impact the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not only on the big screen but also via its creative endeavors on Disney+. He explained how the Multiverse is the "next step" in threading together grander stories, pointing to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as a prime example of their plans. The events of this next Doctor Strange movie, however, will apparently have major repercussions for another Disney+ series, and it's not WandaVision, which has been confirmed to lead into the sequel.

"You know, when we first started the MCU, it was all about introducing the world to Tony Stark in the Iron Man armor," Feige said. "The multiverse is the next step in the evolution of the MCU, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to crack it wide open in ways that will have repercussions for a Disney+ series just before it, that's not WandaVision, and for movies after it."

Given his recent comments, it appears there could be plenty of Multiverse mayhem and hijinks in store for Loki, who was last seen stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Feige has previously noted how fans will want to stay up to date with MCU shows on Disney+ in order to keep abreast of their favorite characters and stories.

Although several of these shows won't be airing on Disney's streaming platform for some time, Marvel is busy preparing their next blockbuster for fans in Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow. Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The film opens May 1, 2020.
