Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may get a little more fantastic, as a member of the Fantastic Four is reportedly joining the cast before the team's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

According to MyTimeToShineHello, who previously leaked several spot-on Spider-Man: No Way Home details, Multiverse of Madness has Mister Fantastic among its cast, as well as "more members for the Illuminati," a group that both Doctor Strange and Mister Fantastic were once members of.

This news follows a previous report that the X-Men would make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Multiverse of Madness, while a subsequent possible leak saw the titular Master of the Mystic Arts meeting Professor X -- also a former member of the Illuminati -- and being escorted by a pair of Ultrons.

As for Doctor Strange himself, Benedict Cumberbatch recently explained why he was unsure if Multiverse of Madness was "his" movie. "There's a lot of stuff going on in it," the actor said. "It's like, do I have a character arc in this? Is it working? No, there's great stuff for me to do. It's very busy. It's called The Multiverse of Madness, and it's bonkers."

Multiverse of Madness has long been described as the MCU's first horror film, and co-writer Michael Waldron recently discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic helped make it even scarier. "COVID just gave me and Sam [Raimi, director of the project] more time to make it our own thing," he recalled. "It's cool, I'm glad that there was the chance to maybe push it in a slightly scarier direction, just because Sam does that so well. [Veering into the horror world is] obviously something that Scott Derrickson, the director of the first movie, does so well, obviously that influence, you feel it even in the first one. Even though it's not a horror movie, there is this sort of spookiness throughout it. It's part of what makes that movie work so well."

While plot details for Multiverse of Madness are currently unknown, the teaser trailer revealed that Doctor Strange was aware of the events of WandaVision, and it also seemingly featured Doctor Strange Supreme from the Disney+ series What If...?

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6, 2022.
