Actor Benedict Cumberbatch, star of the upcoming Marvel sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, had to keep his appearance hidden while doing press via Zoom because of content embargoes.A fan recently posted a pair of short videos on social media that have the voice of Cumberbatch but not his face. In the first video, all that is visible is a white ceiling while Cumberbatch explains, "You're looking at a ceiling because I can't show you my face because I'm filming Doctor Strange and it's all embargoed...just to explain why you're looking at a very attractive ceiling in a trailer."RELATED: Doctor Strange 2 Expected to Include a Frequent Sam Raimi 'Star'

Marvel is well-known for its media blackouts on any information from its unreleased films and television shows. Apparently, that even applies to its stars' faces on occasion. In the second video, the ceiling of a car is seen instead of the actor. Again, Cumberbatch explains the view, "You're looking at the ceiling of a car, lucky you, 'cause you can't look at me 'cause I'm playing Doctor Strange and...looks I can't reveal. Exciting!"

The sequel to the MCU's 2016 film Doctor Strange reportedly wrapped shooting in London just last week. It is set after the events of the Disney+ series WandaVision with Elizabeth Olsen playing Wanda Maximoff. That's in addition to returning stars such as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Wong, as well as the introduction of America Chavez, aka. Miss America, played by Xochitl Gomez. Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns and a director change delayed production, but the film is now set for a Spring 2022 release.

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez. The film arrives in theaters March 25, 2022.
