As perhaps the greatest supervillain in the entire Marvel universe, Doctor Victor Von Doom has fought his fair share of superheroes. Although the Fantastic Four are his main enemies, many other superheroes have also gotten in the way of his nefarious plans.

More often than not, Doom is the one to come out on top of these encounters. On a select few occasions, however, the hero is able to squeak out a victory. Many of the heroes that have done so are ones you would least expect. Here are ten heroes everyone forgets defeated Doctor Doom.

10 10. Black Panther

When Wakanda was overthrown by a highly trained team of insurgents, Black Panther knew that there must be an intelligent leader behind the attack. He was right. That leader turned out to be Doctor Doom. These events transpired in the series called Doomwar, where T'Challa was forced to take the Fantastic Four villain head-on.

Upon learning that Doom was hoping to steal Wakanda's large supply of vibranium, the Wakandan leader and his soldiers essentially rendered the vibranium useless. Doom never would have guessed Black Panther would go to such lengths to protect Wakanda. That was why he lost.

9 9. Spider-Man

In the recently released mini-series Spider-Man: Life Story, Doctor Doom has taken over the world. With the heroes distracted fighting each other during a decades-long civil war, Doom was able to catch everyone off guard and create a new world order under his control.

In the last issue of the series, Spidey travels into space with Miles Morales to destroy Doom's orbiting satellite. Destroying said satellite is the key to overthrowing the mad despot's forces. Sacrificing his life, Peter is successful in doing so.

8 8. X-23

One of the most popular Wolverine stories of all time is the alternate universe Old Man Logan book. The young female clone of Wolverine, X-23 (also known as Laura) has her own book titled, "Old Woman Laura." In the alternate future of Old Woman Laura, Dr. Doom is the world's final supervillain.

Assembling a team of heroes, Laura infiltrates Doom's home in Latveria. Many heroes had died trying to defeat the supervillain, but none had been successful.

7 7. Wonder Man

In one of Doom's most well thought out plans, the leader of Latveria was able to use the Purple Man to control the minds of everyone on Earth. Doom developed a large device called the Psycho-Prism that harnessed Purple Man's abilities to be utilized on a global scale.

Just when it seemed all hope had been lost, Wonder Man entered the scene. During the time that the world had been affected by the Psycho-Prism, Wonder Man had been in suspended animation. Unaffected by the device, Wonder Man made his way to the large device and destroyed it with his bare hands.

6 6. Luke Cage

Along with his Danny Rand aka Iron Fist, Luke Cage founded the Heroes For Hire Inc., where the two superheroes offered their talents and protection in exchange for payment. More often than not the duo would wind up not getting paid for their services, as they were too noble to turn down someone in need.

Under an alias, Doom had hired Cage to try and destroy some of his robots. After the hero of Harlem proves successful, Doom reneges on the deal and returns to Latveria. Luke Cage then follows Doom all the way to his home country and beats Doom to a pulp in return for not paying him his full due.

5 5. Iron Man

During one of Doctor Doom's time travel expeditions into the past, Tony Stark ends up getting caught in his scheme and is transported to Arthurian times along with Doom. In search of magical powers, Doom teams up with the ancient sorceress Morgan Le Fay. The two of them raise an army of zombies to fight King Arthur's forces.

Iron Man teams up with the heroic mythological king. Using his incredible intelligence, Stark is able to outsmart the team of Doom and Le Fay, saving Camelot and defeating the greatest supervillain in Marvel comics.

4 4. Deadpool

On a crazy adventure traveling through multiple realities, Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Hulk come across an alternate version of Victor Von Doom. Instead of Doctor Doom, this villain goes by the name Death Mask. It later turns out that while Death Mask looks exactly like Doctor Doom, his actual identity is nonother but that of Wade Wilson himself!

Deadpool is able to outsmart Death Mask, subdue him, and take on his identity. Then, as the new Death Mask, Wade dismantles the villain's entire empire. While not actually Doctor Doom, Death Mask is about as close as it gets, and Deadpool was able to easily defeat him.

3 3. Ant-Man

Over the course of Doom's comic book history, he has been responsible for many incredibly horrible deeds. Among these include the murder of Cassie Lang, Ant-Man's daughter.

In hopes of avenging his fallen daughter, Scott challenges Doom to a fight with no powers. Doom refused and began to fight the often underestimated Avenger. Scott then preceded to rip Doom's armor off and beat the villain to a bloody pulp. This gave him some brief catharsis for his daughter's passing.

2 2. Wiccan

Avengers: The Children's Crusade is centered around the Young Avenger Wiccan. Traveling to Wudagore Mountain to learn more about his powers, Wiccan comes into contact with a Doombot, leading him to take on the master supervillain.

With the help of his mother, the Scarlet Witch, Wiccan is able to remove Doom's recently acquired magical powers and effectively defeat the supervillain dictator.

The unbeatable Squirrel Girl has comically defeated some of the Marvel universe's greatest supervillains. Among this long list of Squirrel Girl victims includes Juggernaut, Galactus, Thanos, and even Doctor Doom.

Although she has fought Doctor Doom and won on a few different occasions, the first fight stands out. Using her ability to communicate with squirrels, Squirrel Girl is able to overwhelm Doctor Doom with an army of the small vermin. With all of the supervillain's powers, there was still nothing he could do to fend off the furry onslaught.
