The issue, which is part of the "Avengers Assemble" event, sees Earth's Mightiest Heroes from Earth-616, 1,000,000 B.C. and other corners of the multiverse work together to defeat Doom Supreme, Mephisto and the Multiversal Masters of Evil.

In Avengers #64 (by Aaron, Javier Garrón, David Curiel and Petit), Dark Phoenix -- a version of Mystique from Earth-14412 who has the power of the Phoenix Force -- turned on Doom Supreme after realizing he used the Multiversal Masters of Evil as a distraction while he was assembling an army of Doctor Doom variants to fight the heroes. Dark Phoenix attacks Doom Supreme for his actions in Avengers Forever #15; however, the fight quickly takes a turn when Dark Phoenix says she should pull out Doom Supreme's tongue with her "own searing lips" for all his lies. Doom Supreme invites her to try and the two start getting physical as they begin kissing one another.

The Avenger’s Biggest Battle Comes to an End

Avengers Forever #15 sees Dark Phoenix bested by Thor and Lady Phoenix in a battle that ultimately ends with Mephisto -- who recently grew into the size of a massive, grotesque Celestial in Avengers #66 (by Aaron, Garrón, Curiel, Morry Hollowell, Erick Arciniega, Rachelle Rosenberg and Petit) -- launching one final attack to end the entire multiverse's existence. The "Avengers Assemble" event concludes on April 19, 2023, with one final one-shot, Avengers Assemble: Omega #1 by Aaron, Garrón, Kuder, Jim Towe, Ivan Fiorelli and more.
