Hasbro's Entertainment One (eOne) announced the creation of a Dungeons & Dragons streaming channel.

Per Variety, eOne intends to launch the DnD streaming service this summer. The new channel, Dungeons & Dragons Adventures FAST, will be a free streaming service with ads. While it currently has no dedicated platforms, eOne says it is now seeking distribution deals. Much of the content will come from celebrity appearances in non-scripted series such as Encounter Party, Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! and Heroes' Feast. In addition, it will stream its 1980s Dungeons & Dragons animated series.

"This is an amazing opportunity to create and highlight exciting, engaging Dungeons & Dragons content, to both serve our wide audience of existing fans and welcome a new wave of fans to the community," said Dan Rawson, Wizards of the Coast's SVP of Dungeons & Dragons. "We look forward to bringing this channel to life and continuing to build out the thrilling D&D universe with even more content, partnerships and innovative formats."

Dungeons & Dragons Streaming Services' Programs

The Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series ran from 1983-1985, featuring the voice talents of Katie Leigh, Frank Welker, Willie Aames, Don Most, Adam Rich, Teddy Field III, Tonia Gayle Smith, Sidney Miller and Peter Cullen. The series followed a party of children that get transported into the world of Dungeons & Dragons, playing side quests and traditional DnD themes as they fight to make their way home. The recent live-action film Dungeon & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves included a cameo of the characters from the animated series.

Encounter Party comes from the creators of the podcast of the same name, with the addition of Critical Role guest star and The Walking Dead actor Khary Payton. Similar in concept to series like Critical Role and Dimension 20, the series follows six professional actors as they conduct a Dungeons & Dragons campaign set within the Forgotten Realms.

Another campaign series, Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill!, features a much more comedic tone. Along with series co-creator Matthew Lillard, a rotating cast of actors and creators from the Dungeons & Dragons community join a doomed party of level-one characters as they face off against enemies that are impossible to beat.

Outside of campaign settings, the new streaming service will also include a cooking show with Heroes' Feast, named after the official cookbook. Hosted by Mike Haracz and Sujata Day, the series acts as both a talk show and a cooking competition as they prepare a meal for different guest stars.

An official launch date for Dungeons & Dragons Adventures FAST has yet to be announced.
