Wizards of the Coasts and Critical Role are once again joining forces to return Dungeons & Dragons players to the world of Exandria with Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep.
This original D&D adventure, designed in collaboration with Critical Role Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer, will see players explore a variety of exotic locations, starting in the Wastes of Xhorhas and journeying to the dark and sinister Netherdeep. The book will contain seven chapters, each one chronicling the party's quest to save the world from an ancient god who many believed to be destroyed eons ago. Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep will also introduce new magical items and creatures as well as a mechanic for a rival party of NPCs. The questline takes players from level three to 12 and will tie into the themes of previous Critical Role campaigns.
“My co-leads, Matthew Mercer and James Haeck, have crafted a story that feels true to Critical Role while also being something that all D&D fans can enjoy," said Chris Perkins, one of the Game Design Architects of Dungeons & Dragons. “The story has depth, and there’s a wealth of setting information in this book for all the Critters out there. I can’t wait to see how all fans play through the first hardcover adventure D&D has produced set in the world of Critical Role.”

Critters have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Alongside the new Dungeons & Dragons adventure, the beloved live stream is being adapted into an animated series titled The Legend of Vox Machina. The show is set to debut on Amazon Prime Streaming on Feb. 4. The stylish opening sequence was recently featured during New York Comic Con 2021; the cast also performed a live table read of a scene from the series.
Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep launches on March 15, 2022 and will retail for $49.95 USD.
