Wreck-It Ralph is back to wreck it all again in "Wreck-It Ralph 2," a sequel to the original 2012 film. Entertainment Weekly reports the movie is officially in development at Disney and will arrive in theaters on March 9, 2018.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" star John C. Reilly will return to voice the title character, a video game villain who wanted to break out of his mold and become a hero. Along the way, he befriended several other video game characters, including his nemesis Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) and Calhoun (Jane Lynch). It is unclear at this time if any of the supporting characters will return for the sequel, though Vanellope does appear in the film's concept art (above).

“It’s top secret but I’ll tell you this much… Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet,” Reilly shared. “What could go wrong?”

Director Rich Moore will return to the franchise to direct the sequel alongside Phil Johnston, who co-wrote the original film.

When it debuted in 2012, "Wreck-It Ralph" earned $189 million domestically and just under $500 million worldwide.
