Disney Channel has debuted a new teaser for "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar," a television sequel to the 1994 animated classic "The Lion King."

Bowing Nov. 22 with a TV movie before making its series debut in January, "The Lion Guard" follows the adventures of Simba and Nala's second-born cub Kion, who's destined to lead the Lion Guard, comprised of the Pride Lands' fiercest, bravest, fastest, strongest and keenest of sight.

Voiced by Max Charles (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “The Strain”), Kion breaks with tradition and instead of recruiting other lions, he turns to his friends: Bunga (Joshua Rush), a blustery honey badger; Ono (Atticus Shaffer), a smarty-pants egret; Fuli (Diamond White), a confident cheetah; and Beshte (Dusan Brown), a friendly hippo.

James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella reprise their “Lion King” roles as Mufasa and Pumbaa, joined by Kevin Schon from “The Lion King’s Timon & Pumbaa” as Timon, Rob Lowe as Simba and Gabrielle Union as Nala.
