"The Jungle Book" has crossed the $900 million mark at the global box office, making it the third Disney film this year to do so.

"Captain America: Civil War" and "Zootopia" already reached that milestone on their way to joining the billion-dollar club.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the hybrid live-action/CG retelling of the Disney animated classic is the top film this year in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and the biggest-ever Hollywood release in India.

Variety notes the film isn't quite finished with its global rollout, as it still has South Korea and Japan to look forward to.

Disney has already greenlit a sequel to "The Jungle Book," with Favreau on board to direct again.
