Josh Gad, perhaps best known as the voice of Olaf in "Frozen," has been cast in Disney's live-action adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast" as Gaston's cronie Le Fou, Heat Vision reports.

He joins Emma Watson as Belle, Luke Evans as Gaston and Dan Stevens as the Beast in director Bill Condon's film.

In the 18th-century French fairy tale, a beautiful young woman takes her father’s place as a prisoner in a hideous monster’s castle, only to fall in love with the Beast, who turns out to be handsome prince cursed by an enchantress. Disney adapted the story for its hit 1991 animated musical, which grossed $375 million worldwide and earned an Oscar nomination for best picture.

Gad, who stars opposite Billy Crystal on the new FX series "The Comedians," will reprise his role as Olaf in the newly announced "Frozen 2."
