Gugu Mbatha-Raw is making a trip to the House of Mouse. Variety reports the "Beyond the Lights" star is the latest celebrity to join Disney's live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast."

The actress might not be a household name but her star is on the rise following roles in "Doctor Who," "Touch," "Odd Thomas," "Jupiter Ascending" and "Beyond the Lights."

Mbatha-Raw will play feather duster Plumette in the musical, alongside Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans' as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Josh Gad as LeFou and Kevin Kline as Maurice.

Bill Condon will directed from a script originally penned by Disney veteran Evan Spiliotopoulos and then rewritten by "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" author Stephen Chbosky. "Beauty and the Beast" is set to open March 17, 2017.
