Disney Parks is proceeding with its ambitious plan to construct an entire section of their California Adventure theme park devoted to Marvel Studios' lineup of heroes and villains.

Hot on the heels of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, the Walt Disney Company plans to have the Avengers -- and Marvel's legions of fans -- assemble at this superhero-themed section of California adventure by next year, according to the LA times.

This news came to light when it was discovered that the city of Anaheim had signed off on a number of zoning permits within the area of Disney's California Adventure, including approval for a retail outlet, character meet-and-greet and even a microbrewery.

Building barriers emblazoned with the familiar Stark Industries logo have already sprung up around the park, as the theme park magnates prepare to tear down the A Bug's Life-themed A Bug's Land to make room for the expansion.

California Adventure's marvelous expansion isn't the only place Marvel super-fans will be able to see their favorite heroes and villains, as Disney Parks plans to open new Marvel-themed attractions at its Paris, Hong Kong and Florida locations within the next four years.

While Disney remains tight-lipped on what attractions the Marvel area will contain, it is expected that the section will be anchored by Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: Breakout, the free-fall ride following Marvel's rough-and-tumble intergalactic rogues that opened at the park in 2017.
