Walt Disney Pictures has released the long-awaited final trailer for "Beauty and the Beast," the upcoming live-action remake of the classic 1991 animated film.
Disney has found recent success with live-action updates of animated classics - 2015's "Cinderella" and 2016's "The Jungle Book" were both hits with audiences and critics alike. If "Beauty and the Beast's" final trailer is any indication, the studio's latest remake should be as well. The film looks to draw heavily from the visual aesthetic of the 1991 version -- which makes sense, since "Beauty and the Beast" (1991) was a landmark achievement for animated films, and marked the first time an animated film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture.
Set to the iconic theme originally performed by Angela Lansbury, and updated in a duet from Arianna Grande and John Legend, the trailer features a ton of footage while offering a taste of a few of the original's most memorable moments, ranging from Belle's (Emma Watson) introductory number, to Gaston's (Luke Evans) pub scene and Belle's dance with the Beast (Dan Stevens).
