Fans of The Mandalorian are in for a treat, as Disney+ has just dropped a trailer for the upcoming documentary that goes behind the scenes of Season 1.

Jon Favreau took the reins for The Mandalorian and delivered a live-action Star Wars story like nothing that had come before it. But while Pedro Pascal's titular Mando is obviously the center of the piece, a colorful cast of characters and standout addition of Baby Yoda helped The Mandalorian become a runaway success.

Disney+ has revealed the full trailer for Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian following its recent announcement. The eight-part series, debuting on 2020's Star Wars Day (May 4), will lift the curtain on the show was made and give an in-depth look at the show's journey to the screen. Alongside interviews with the cast and crew, Favreau himself will head up the documentary.

With the success of documentaries like The Imagineering Story and The Mandalorian's growing fanbase, it's easy to see Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian being a must-watch for Disney+ subscribers. Each episode will focus on a different subject - with topics including everything from creature creation to music. Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will air new episodes every Friday.

The first-ever live-action Star Wars series has already been greenlit for Season 3, meaning there's plenty more to come from The Mandalorian.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and Emily Swallow. Season 1 is streaming now on Disney+, with Season 2 slated to arrive in October. Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian debuts Friday, May 4.
