Disney Channel has released an official promo for "Thanks to Them," the first of three 44-minute specials that make up the third and final season of Dana Terrace's acclaimed animated series The Owl House.

The promo picks up where The Owl House's Season 2 finale, "King's Tide," left off, with Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nicole Robles) having finally returned to the human realm alongside her girlfriend, Amity Blight (Mae Whitman), as well as their friends Gus Porter (Issac Ryan Brown), Willow Park (Tati Gabrielle) and newfound ally Hunter (Zeno Robinson). It sees the latter four characters getting acquainted with the human realm, with Amity meeting Luz's mom, Camila (Elizabeth Grullon), and the gang hanging out with Vee (Michaela Dietz), a basilisk who had been living with Camila in Luz's absence. The promo even ends with a callback to a line from The Owl House's very first episode, which revealed that giraffes actually originated from the demon realm before being banished to the human realm.

The Owl House Is Nearing Its Grand Finale

The Owl House initially premiered on Disney Channel on Jan. 10, 2020, with Season 1 running for a total of 19 episodes, concluding on Aug. 29, 2020. Season 2 premiered on June 12, 2021, running for 21 episodes and concluding earlier this year on May 28. In the Season 2 finale, Luz and company attempted to stop Emperor Belos/Philip Wittebane's (Matthew Rhys) Day of Unity, which, unbeknownst to the denizens of the Boiling Isles, would kill all witches and demons of the demon realm by draining their magic.

Luz's demon companion King (Alex Hirsch) ultimately managed to stop Belos' draining spell by freeing the Collector (Fryda Wolff), only for the mischievous being to pose a new threat by beginning to reshape the Boiling Isles in his own image. Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow and Hunter were then forced to escape to Luz's native human realm with no clear way back to the demon realm, leaving King, Eda Clawthorne (Wendie Malick) and their other friends and allies to uncertain fates.
